I completely agree with you. He's the KoF character whose popularity most baffles me. He looks like a decent custom Mugen character, that's the best I can say for him.

You're not the only one. Nameless looks like he is somebody's fan made OC. Wish it was K9999 but because he is too much of Tetsuo's clone, they had no choice but to remove him due to copyright.

Unfortunately...but he was cool, Nameless looks too bland...like Jaq said "he looks like a decent custom mugen character", but I've seen custom characters way better than this. Probably SNK didn't have decent pixel artists anymore, who knows..

I don't think it was explicitly because of copyright (as far as I know, the creators of Akira never tried to sue SNK or anything). I think it was more so because SNK just hated K9999.

That's far from true. Whoever said "SNK hates K9999" Are just K9999 fanboys brought that idea from their owns. SNK would be morons if they removed K9999 for that minor reason when they know K9999 is a big money, and just a reminder, SNK were nearly bankrupt for God knows how many times, and they couldn't have time to deal with being sued by creator of Akira and he is very strict with his copyright lawsuit, so he left SNK no choice but to remove K9999. That's why we got Nameless instead.

I think he looks cool. His design reminds me of the manga character Black Jack.

K9999 is garbo and Nameless is just a much better version of him. They're supposed to be the ultimate Kyo clone and one of these looks like Kyo and the other doesn't.

Nameless is just a lazy version of a much better character, just like many mugen edits.

Wow, people still talk about nameless, i thought people stopped sperging out about him, other then that he and k9999 belong in the trash, both of them are garbage characters that didn't add anything to kof.

I think the Tetsuo wannabe looks out of place in KOF series. Both versions.

Look, I didn't like K9999 at first when KoF2001 came out, but he's a lot better than Nameless, and had potential to be an interesting character in subsequent KoF games. I mean, Angel, one of the lamest characters still appears in KoF games...

Most of the complaints about Nameless seem to be related to K9999. If K9999 was removed for legal reasons, it seems pointless to compare the two characters. Nameless has nothing to do with K9999's absence, so don't blame the substitute.

I hardly know anything about Nameless, but I do have a gripe about his premise. He's a clone of both Kyo and K', right? At least in the original '99 story, I thought K' was a clone of Kyo to begin with. There were differences between Kyo and K', but none of them were genetic (attitude, clothes, muscle build, fighting style, etc.). So for Nameless to be a clone of both of them seems redundant. Also, does Nameless's hair imply that his left half inherited K''s bleached hair?
