Careful with SteamVR

If you haven't played the demo yet, one of the first issues I had was the game launching SteamVR when my headset was plugged in. I have no idea why, it has VR files that are required to have installed for the game to run though, so you can't delete them. If you have a VR setup, this may happen to you too, but there was a simple solution I found.

In the game properties on Steam, go to General > Launch Options and input "-nohmd" (no quotation marks) and it'll prevent the game launching with SteamVR.

Very bizarre they have VR files in a non-VR game though ngl. If this issue happens with the full game, remember to do this.

It's because the devs forgot to untick the VR flag when they compiled the game. For some reason the Unreal engine defaults to this being on. It happens more often than it should and I have no idea why Epic don't change it so it's unticked by default.

Ah okay, that would make sense. Hopefully they remember to fix that before launch though, or else a LOT of people are going to be losing their minds lol

Thanks I had this issue in the end I just unplugged my HMD. But I'll do this if it isn't fixed when the official release comes.

Thank you. I've come across the odd game that seems to insist on launching SteamVR, not come across this switch before. Worked a treat on the demo.
