*SPOILER WARNING* Is there any way to save Stan?

As said in the title, is there any way to save Stan without sacrificing Sam Green? I find it rather odd since the only way to save Stan from the killer is to sacrifice Sam. I can't help but to feel like there should have been a way to save everyone without sacrificing the other.

I'm aware that you don't need Stan to be alive to get the Entity Displeased achievement but that means that for me to get it is to intentionally mess up the qte for saving Stan so Sam Green survives which feels very wrong.

There has to be a way to get them both right?

I'm pretty sure Stan is scripted to die no matter what.
