The way I see it, a legitimate person can redeem the rewards first, then try the game out, not like it, then refund. This is a legitimate part of the process that Steam allows.
They shouldn't force a person to give $50 over to them because they gave some rewards for another game. That's ridiculous. That would incite ethical issues, and potential community backlash. Consumers are buying the game, not just the rewards. They shouldn't be unfairly penalised if they don't like the game. That would violate the spirit of fair consumer practices.
It's up to you what you decide, but I would be very surprised if they banned anyone for refunding the game after redeeming their DBD bonuses.
Second: Your CPU is quite old. It does not even reach the minimum requirements for this game. So I am not surprised everything gets quite hot.
No one here can know for sure, so just talk to their support for a definitive answer.
Id bet that maybe the bloodpoints would stay, but not the shirts and emblems... IDK though. Pretty certain there is basically no way they would ban you for anything.. They definitely thought of this scenario before release.
Worst case scenario you contact BHVR and explain what happened, im sure they would be cool about it.
