Feedback on the Steam Deck
First of all, I like the game and I left a positive review. Thank you devs for giving me such an enjoyable experience!
Anyways, for me, this is a really chill and enjoyable game.
I fell in love with the art-style and the chill music is amazing.
I have been playing it on my PC, but since I also have a Steam Deck, I tried it on the deck (despite it not being supported).
Yay- it does run on the Steam Deck!
In fact, I actually enjoy playing it on my Steam Deck, much more than playing it on my PC.
It is awesome trying out all these tricks and going for the challenges and achievements. Even the haptic / tactile feedback on the deck works well and really gives a feel for speed and doing all these actions in real life.
This game was made for short and chill play sessions, which suits the deck well.

HOWEVER.

If you want to play this game in it's current state on the deck, you need patience.
It took me a while to actually come to terms with the sensitivity of steering the van through the world-map. Off the bat, it is so sensitive, I could not move the damn thing, I really had to adapt to touching it EXTRA gently to even be able to drive from A to B.
And there are glitches. Oh soooooo many glitches.
Most annoyingly, there is lots of clipping through the environment. In my 2 hours of playtime, I fell through the map more than 10 times!
(but, to be fair, this is not a problem exclusive to the deck, it also happens on my PC).
At least the re-load feature and loading from last checkpoint is responsive and works well (in most cases), so even if one glitches off the map, little progress is lost.
And sadly, this little game uses an INSANE amount of battery power on the Steam Deck. I started out wth 52 % and played a few maps, spend half an hour!!!! and the game sucked that battery dry!

I really hope this game will be optimised more, because this is really great.

I went into the custom Deck contoller options, and played with stuff like the stick curve sensitivity options: think it's something like "Wide". Also mapping aero tuck / braking to right stick helped me with keeping left stick to just turning.
Then mapped right trackpad to (normal) right stick, so i can spin Eddie the Sloth in the cusomise mode (as right stick is mapped to left stick left/right directions now).

edit: i think i uploaded a custom controller layout ages ago. "Gamepad tweaks for Deck", but you need to click "show all layouts".

Yeah it could do with some of this being remappable in-game really.
