RoA won't launch successfully, anyone know how to fix this?
I have windows 7, 64 bit.

mine wont launcher either (black screens then just goes back to desktop)

found hte problem.

Uninstall NVIDIA PhysX you have on you.

Then go into the folder for this game
/steamapps/common/Rock of Ages/Prerequesites and run and install the physX executable.

In my case I had a newer version and for whatever reason didn't work with this game so I had to downgrade to that version.

Damn, I dont even want to do that for a 2 dollar game. Thanks though Ginrikuzuma for looking into it... and sorry pengy if it didn't work for you. The only solution I've found on the net (in 5minutes of looking) is the same as stated above.

Restarting my computer after installation worked for me. If it's just minimizing and not crashing, I recommend trying to figure out how to start in windowed mode.

Actually, just realized that it DIDN'T work. Don't know how I missed that part. Maybe I missed a step?

What's it doing rman? Mine started up, blackscreen for a second, then minimized to the tray and wouldn't stay up.

I'm on W8.

It's saying 'Launching', then not doing anything, but I'm on Win. 7.

Not running in the background or anything.

Try launching in in WinVista Compatibility Mode, that worked for me.

Trying that now.

EDIT: Cannot find the executable in the Steamapps\common\Rock of Ages folder.

EDIT2: Nvm, found it.

i had the same launch issue as everyone else. the physx fix is what got the game to work for me.

go to add or remove programs in control panel, uninstall nvidia physx.
then go to the RoA prerequisites folder and install the version of physx that came with the game.

i really dont know why the game will only work with the old version but that seemed to be the issue.
