rock of ages wont start

when i press the play icon on rock of ages it turns to the stop icon but then turns back to the play icon please help btw i'm on windows 10 if that's important

Did you skip any of the initial installers? Those specific versions are needed to run the game.

i may have accidentally skipped one of the installs, how would i manage to get them to install again? do i need to remove the game entirely and go through downloading it again or is there another way?

No just go in steamapps/common/Rock of Ages/ and I think there's an installers directory - run them all and hopefully it should start.

I had the same problem, on Win11 actually. Here is how I fixed it:
- Accessed the steamapps/common/Rock of Ages/ folder and searched for any .exe file. Found RoA.exe.
- Running said RoA.exe resulted in Windows complaining that NET Framework wasn't installed and asked if I wanted to install that.
- Did that, which fixed the problem.

Apparently, Steam doesn't check if NET Framework is already installed and suppresses the error message which would otherwise prompt.
