cause Ubi games are notoriously CPU heavy and a 3600 is kind of a terrible CPU, no offense.

The CPU is not that Bad that people portrayed it -.- It was Brand new when I got it on 2019 December, 2 Months after its release.
Makes no sense to be Heavy CPU to cause Frame Death when running Rainbow Six Siege and Division 2 with no Issues.
Heck can still run R6S with 2 Emulators and Chrome open in the Background and still no FPS issue.

Listen I get what youre saying, but it really isn't a good CPU compared to anything out now. Let me put it into perspective for you... The 2700x which is from 2018 was not even that great of a CPU, the dramatic increase from a ryzen 2700x to a 9900k was insane.

To that point, the 2700x is pretty much on par for gaming with the 3600 which came out a full year later. An intel 9900k came out the same year the 2700x did and that is a 5 year old CPU at this point which is still miles better.

And finally, if we take the 9900k, the 9900k is a lot worse than anything new now. The 3600 is really not a good CPU, its old and it wasnt even that great for gaming when it came out. Just saying.
Right, I'm not gonna take your word about the R5-3600 being a bad gaming when it can handle CPU intensive games with either steady 60-120fps while having Chrome and 2 Emulators open in the background whilst running 2 Monitors.
I do know it's a Entry Gaming CPU yet it still performs greatly and it's why I moved away from Intel.
Only GPU I'll stay Nvdia though.. never did like the AMD GPUs.

To be fair I just booted the game up today on a brand new Razer Blade 15 gaming laptop and I’m having terrible fps issues. It seems to be fine when I’m in the vaults, but immediately stutters and drops in the open world. I’ve updated all my drivers, dropped my settings down to medium, but nothing has improved it. This game used to run gorgeously for me, but it’s awful now and it’s very unpleasant to play. Somethings definitely up.

I just logged in to see what my FPS are. I am standing in front of a vault entrance with plenty of ashes flying around and I am getting 84 FPS on ultra high settings. I am running a Ryzen 5900X and a 3080.

3600 can run Assassins Creed Unity at 90+ fps and that game has way more going on. i think the real problem is insisting on ultra settings. Dropping shadows a notch or 2 gives a major performance bump at little to no visual hit

somebody either lied to you and you never bothered to fact check them, or your a troll. the 3600 when it came out and up until very recently was a beast of a cpu. It was highly praised and just as popular. people were calling it the best gaming cpu on the market at the time, yes even better then what intel had out, especially in its price range.

Yes its a few years old, and theres obviously better out there now. I would be disappointed if there wasnt. But one of the best cpus from the past few years dont exactly make it worse just cause better ones are out now, especially on a game thats also several years old. thats like saying an rtx3080 is nothing but worthless e-waste because the 4090s exist.

I have a mid range pc (r5 5600x and a 1660s, 16gb@3600) and no problems at all.
At 1080p mind you, but that´s my target with this system.
The 3600, while still really good, was never one of the top cpu´s.
At it´s introduction it was classed lower mid-tier, and that´s exactly what it is.
It´s popularity is because of it´s price-performance ratio.
But as I said, it´s still a good cpu and should be more than enough here.

Terrible cpu its not. Its a 6core/12 thread cpu, budget friendly sure but not "terrible." like you state..lol

I have it in my 2nd system runs pretty much everything i throw at it that my 5800X3D runs.

Game runs ok, I have an old system with a decent gpu and Im running it 1440p, high settings and getting 60fps 95% of the time, some drops here and there to 58 or 59fps

My system is an i7 4790, 16GB of RAM, SSD and a RTX 3060
