Frustrating Crashes
Just installed the game. It constantly crashes after a couple of minutes -- no specific locations -- game freezes -- then dies. Seems to be an OK game --- nothing else to play during these doldrums of days before another decent game arrives on the market. Anyone find a solution to the crashes --- or is it refund time ?

Are you getting any crash reports that's possible to send, or are you just getting a black screen? I'm curious if you also have the "Graphics driver stopped responding" in the Windows Event Manager.
I have issues myself and it appears to happen for several people.

I have a vague feeling no one at Ubisoft can do anything about it and the developers are also known for Assassin's Creed, so they are likely tied up on that franchise. Meaning this game is considered final and won't be further polished.

I'm past the refund hours sadly, so my only other option is to see if the game runs differently at a later point after upgrading my setup.

same here, yesterday i could play normaly but today I can't even make a movemennt with no crashing

Hello everyone - apologies for the delay replying over the holidays and sorry to hear of your crashes.

If you have purchased any other addition than the standard addition, can you please check all extra content is fully downloaded before playing the game, as this was known to cause some issues with certain missions and crashes.

If your game is fully downloaded, could you please follow each step in our tech troubleshooting guide? It will help us rule out if your particular crashes are caused by hardware, software, corrupted game files, Windows settings and more >

On my side, I can confirm it was an OS issue. I upgraded to windows 10 from the obsolete win7 (no hardware upgrade whatsoever) and the game now works perfectly.
