It's unreal to me that someone would be so addicted to a dopemine drip that they'd deprive themselves of a great game over it. Like refusing to see a band you like because you can't get any drugs at the venue. Achievements change nothing and no one cares about them.
>ou CLEARLY see there is a massive interest in this game if it added achievements
No. We don't. I see one post made by one person a week ago that's gone ignored. I see one other thread with maybe 10 to 15 total people complaining. This is not "massive." This is like 20 people here total. Stop acting like you represent other people. You don't. I love achievements and get 100% on every one I can but it's laughable to act like you can't enjoy a game without them.
>Considering how your company is currently crashing financially I
People hopelessly obsessed with achievements are not going to save any "crashing" company. Also, almost every company is cutting labor so it's an industry thing, bro. Not just Ubisoft.
>would think this easily implemented request would be a no brainer to increase your bottom line
Spending the time to add achievements at this time would lose them money, not make it. Again, you represent like 20 people.
>THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT
Clearly, you've never worked in retail. Or with real customers at all.
>Not literally but if you have a bit of common sense you get the point.
If you had a bit of common sense you'd realize that you're part of a tiny crazed minority that won't put a dent in financials and that it costs Ubisoft money to make any patch to an existing game, no matter how simple that change may seem. But, again, you've likely never even looked through the window of a real corporate environment so how would you know how this works, right?
>You could lower the price to 1.99 and without achievements I still wouldn't buy just on principle alone.
Yes. Because you're an insane extreme minority. Which is why you don't matter and Ubisoft won't do anything for you. Stop pretending that purchasing a game is a political statement. No one is impressed at you depriving of yourself of a fun game over some cheap dopemine trophy gimmick that you're addicted to. You're just a junkie lashing out.
there is another thread with HUNDREDS of people asking for them and saying they will buy if added. YOU are clearly triggered. Why would you personally give a damn that others want something added that most other games offer by default? And why did you need to post so much verbal vomit? Get over yourself. lol

It's unreal to me that you'd support and give any company money which treats customers differently based on where they buy their products.

You can say the sky is purple, it doesn't make it so. The mere fact that Ubisoft is adding Achievements to games as old as Black Flag proves that someone at Ubisoft recognises that Achievements *might* just drive some sales. So, continue to yell at the sky, it isn't changing colours.

This just goes to show what kind of small thinker you really are. It's about changing public perception of the company. Right now, there is a general public perception I'd argue, that Ubisoft doesn't give two spits about their customers and perhaps, in some cases, disdain. People didn't come to this out of the blue and it's not just because they're French, not just. However, starting giving customers what they ask for, may change the public perception and perhaps just save a sinking company.

Again, displaying your ignorance. Even if it were the case that *only * 20 people want Cheevo's added, which is more absurd than most of the things either Kamala or Trump have ever said, and they've said some doozy's, but I digress...even if it was 20, the sales would fund at least double the person's salary.
According to Valve themselves, the process of adding achievements to a games is a...and I quote:
You don't know what you're talking about.
>THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT
Clearly, you've never worked in retail. Or with real customers at all.
No, you clearly haven't, furthermore, you've clearly never taken a business course. It's why retail stores, generally have such generous return policies (such as return with store credit if you have no receipt). They recognise that it's cheaper to keep a customer by keeping them happy than to try and get the customer back because sometimes they *never* come back.
>Not literally but if you have a bit of common sense you get the point.

How's the echo chamber doing ? There are entire communities dedicated to achievement hunting, not to mention a dozen different websites, Youtube creators, groups, etc. The only one you're fooling with a statement like that is yourself and making yourself look fairly stupid in the process.

The only one sounding like an angry junkie, is you. The language and general disregard you have for other Steam users is appalling and I guess you're just angry and jealous that you don't see the enjoyment of achievements that others do.
It's that or you're just being a troll.
Remember when Sony was all hardcore and cool when they released the PS3 and said, "Pfft, we don't do achievements!" ? Well, they weren't lying, they do Trophies instead.
And then 'member when Klei said, "We're not putting achievements in Don't Starve because of some intrinsic/extrinsic reward nonsense that we wrote a lengthy blog post about"
And, then 'member when Sony said, "Hey, if you want to release Don't Starve on Playstation, you have to put Trophies in there because we mandate Trophies have to be in *every* game now" and Klei said, "Well, screw our beliefs," and went and put Trophies in their Playstation version?
And 'member when Ubisoft told everyone that they were never adding achievements to their Assassin's Creed games, like Valhalla and then added them so they retroactively unlock?
'Member ? I 'member.
The developer of Where The Water Tastes Like Wine made one achievement unobtainable, its missing from the console release.
Since AC1 was released on Steam years ago? Valhalla was added to Steam in 2022, and the achievements were added before Mirage was released on Steam.
I've seen reports of achievements not unlocking for hundreds of games over the years.
Valve does not make them mandatory, and many developers/publishers opt to not add them, as it would take extra time to code them in.
Just unreal
Many have bought the game since its original release.
Who cares? It will be on sales in few other weeks.
Also. this game goes on sale for dirt cheap (about 90% off)
I NEED MY DOPAMINE DRIP YO!
I NEED MY MOTIVATION TO EXPLORE EVERY BIT OF THE GAME THAT I CAN.
Please give me my achievements.
I see they have responded in a couple threads with platitudes but nothing more.
