Aphrodite's bewilderment vault ***************** sucks!!

This is one of the three vaults where you have to get a tear. I watched a youtube video of the person stacking up 2 crates and jumping right to the next ledge. I have died a zillion ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times and am so pissed. I hate puzzle games. What am I doing wrong that my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character won't grab onto the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ledge like in the youtube video?????????????

The only reason he wouldnt grab is if you have no stamina.

I have full stamina bars and am not even close to reaching the ledge. I am using double jump and also tried double jump and fly. No dice.

I went back and tried it again and I am about to say ♥♥♥♥ this game. There is literally no way to reach the ledge with just two crates stacked up. There is no way to get a third crate at this location. The youtube video I watched showed putting the second crate on top of the one on the right where it spawns. This is not possible. WTF

I just watched a second youtube video and it shows the same thing but stacking the 2 crates on the left side instead of the right. The player easily jumps right onto the ledge. They must have nerfed the game since these videos posted. The videos I watched, the user had less stamina than I do.

There was no nerf, that's one of the easier vaults and I've played recently and had no problems. If you could post a video, I might be able to tell better where the problem is.

I don't know how to record or post a video. It is the section after you acquire the tear. 2 crates are set in squares, one on the left, one on the right. I have tried stacking them both on the left and both on the right and I can't get enough height to get to the next level.

I don't know how to provide a youtube link either. I googled aphrodite's bewilderment and it is the second result in the list. The part where the 2 crates appear is at 4:29. It is a gamer guru video. Thanks for trying to help.

I have watched the video a dozen times and it appears the player is double jumping and then flying but I cannot get my character to fly after double jumping. It doesn't appear to be any higher than the other ledges in this vault but something is off with this one.

If you're double-jumping by pressing jump two times immediately, try pressing jump, holding (about a second, till you reach max height) and only then press a second time.

I have been able to successfully double jump every other time in the game. I don't even come close in this area to reaching the ledge. I will try it again tomorrow sometime. I am about to put my fist through my monitor.

I know, but the longer you hold the jump button, the higher you jump.
Make sure to hold for the second jump too.

After reading up and watching a few more videos they all say the same thing about holding the jump button longer. I jumped in front of a cliff as a marker to see how high I would go with just a jump press and then how high with holding the jump button. I did get a little bit higher by holding it. I also discovered that I can jump, use the ares godly power that lifts you with spears, jump again. That gained more than enough height to get past the part that was messing with me. Now I had to exit the vault to watch another video because I am completely stumped on where to go next. All the nearby pillars are too far away. LOL. I have wasted at least 2 hrs on this stupid vault.

Well, if you dont know where to go, you dont have to exit the game. Minimize the game or watch on your cellphone.

If you don't know how to simply copy and paste a url then you really are screwed... it's a wonder how you even installed Steam in the first place...
Just go to the video page, in the url bar of the browser select the text there, hit key-combo [ctrl]+c on your keyboard, and then back here select the text box as normal, hit key-combo [ctrl]+v, type the minutes and seconds for the specific moment, and click "post comment"! easy as pie!

wHEN I PRESS SPACE for the second time the wings appear but then i fall down. Why? the video shows that she flys , But for me this dont happen.
