Three DLC for Fenix. One is about your character post-story. One is about an entirely unrelated character and entire unrelated story (it's not bad, but it shouldn't be sold as DLC, it should be its own game, same with the third DLC). And the third DLC is an abominable attempt at a diablo-esque isometric view set in the game's universe, but again with an unrelated character and story.
If you enjoy the annoying puzzle dungeons (which are fun at first but very quickly get extremely annoying), you'll LOVE the first DLC. That's 90% of what it is.
The second DLC is not bad on its own, but it shouldn't be sold as DLC. The story is enjoyable enough and the character grows through the story well. But it's not in any way related to Fenix or his/her story. It's only related in one theme: pantheon of gods. It should have been fleshed out and sold as its own game, perhaps a sequel to Fenix instead of a DLC.
The third is, for everything I can find, universally disliked due to it being a horrible attempt at an isometric view ARPG style experience with a very underwhelming story and forgettable character. I didn't even bother trying it after finding out it had nothing to do with Fenix at all.
The base game is solid with tons of content to do (if you're a completionist type).
However when I googled reviews for the DLCs, and decided against.
One of The DLCs at least, are more about doing hard vaults. If you are not a fan of vaults, then that DLC is not for you.
Recommend searching for DLC reviews before investing in the Gold edition of IFR.
Like finding out she was actually dead all along. Or she was just creation from evil that broke the chains some how. The loneliness having no family and self doubt of own existence. Stuff like that could make for good story telling. Instead just being the chosen one who defeat evil.
