Descent mode not working

When I try to play Descent, either through matchmaking on the map or in the world, it just doesn't work. I click the start button, but nothing happens. What could be the problem?

I'm currently having this problem on my Xbox; I'm trying to figure it out. I'll let you know if I find a solution. But also do you have a new character? Or did you join a friend and played The Descent while not having it unlocked?
