Can i buy it and give the key to someone else?

Just wondering Theoretically, i own the game on ubisoft already. I know each game comes with a CD key. Since my uplay and my steam are already linked the CD key that i get can i give that to a friend and it will work on him? i just want the game on steam since i bought it on epic a long time ago.

Well no i meant like, buying it on my account and then using the CD key for someone else. So that way i own the game on steam :D

Nope, they don't. Most games don't allow that lol. Otherwise you could just resell the key and buy another version and so on.... although I could be wrong.

Hey Big Queso,

Keys are not issued when making a purchase.

Rather the game is immediately digitally bound to your account.

Due to this, unless you actively gift the game via Steam, no one else would be able to access your copy.
