Problem runs deeper

When I was hooked, The Division 2 kept crashing. When I couldn't find other game(s) like The Division 2, I came back and it kept crashing still. So I limited my fps. That seemed to have fixed it. Unfortunately, however, I got bored so I wanted to uninstall the game and guess what? I couldn't uninstall it via Ubisoft Connect. The launcher kept telling me some kind of files are missing or something? Verifying files didn't work either for the same reason. So I went into Windows 10 control panel to uninstall it and, this was really shocking, The Division 2 wasn't even on the list. I had to force delete the folder.
What caused this problem? I only have rough guesses and that's either Windows 10 defender or CCleaner registry thing.
The problem with The Division 2 runs deeper than just crashing. Something's seriously missing with this game.

Indeed the game is really instable, random crash and freeze, more or less frequent on somes PC.

For example we bought the game 2 weeks ago with 2 other friends, one of my friends can't play the game more than 20mn or less, even with all the fixes we used on reddit :

EVERY, and I insist on this "EVERY", solution you can try don't work properly or are temporaly fixes. You're still gonna crash and freeze. The real problem is the Easy Anti-Cheat. Everyone can't fix that, this is to Ubisoft to do something.

EVERY, and I insist on this "EVERY", solution you can try don't work properly or are temporaly fixes. You're still gonna crash and freeze. The real problem is the Easy Anti-Cheat. Everyone can't fix that, this is to Ubisoft to do something.

All those "fixes" are just placebos. You may think everything is going to work fine, but the crashes will soon return.

The problem is the game, not the computers it is played on.

It is really so random. Sometimes it seems character dependant. Last week i played like 20 hours with two of my chars without any crashes.
Then I switched to the third one and it crashed 4 times in 15 minutes.

It don't depend on the character, it's just random.

I've been playing this since release. The only time the game has crashed is when I either had just updated my NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver to a new version or I wasn't aware there was a new driver available. Once I either rolled back the driver version or installed the newer driver (depending on the situation) it has resolved the issues.

This game has CRASHED and FROZE on me since I bought it 3 years ago

Be aware, Ubisoft knows, they have been told continually for years by thousands of players and they have done NOTHING. You can find the reason for the crash in the Windows 10 EVENT VIEWER. Division 2 at some point during the game, it could be 15 minutes, it could be a half of an hour, it could be 2 or even as much as 3 hours but eventually the game will freeze and when it does you cannot do anything to fix it. Sometimes it will freeze and then crash. One time I had a BSOD with this game. When you check the Event Viewer it indicates that Division 2 failed to recognize Windows 10, I'm not joking, that is the problem that UBISOFT has ignored and never addresses patch after patch, update after update, event after event, even after the New York DLC. They refuse to acknowledge it, they refuse to fix it and some diehard players just ignore it too because they know it won't get fixed so they stop asking for help. You can see it on the UBISOFT forums, this issue goes back YEARS to day one.

If you buy this game it will freeze and crash on you too. Without a doubt, it will happen. I bought it first on EPIC games, but then I found out that the NYC DLC I bought directly on UBISOFT connect wasn't recognized by the EPIC version which I got for free, so I bought the game again on UBISOFT connect for 12 bucks. I've had this game for years, at first when I was leveling up to 30 I had no problems but once I passed 30 that's when the freezes and crashes started happening and I seriously experimented with the graphics settings but nothing worked. I have an RTX 3070 ti and although I can get a beautiful game out of it, it runs hard, it kicks all three fans on ULTRA. All UBISOFT games are like this but this one is really bad. Especially in a firefight. I've had this game freeze on me in the damn INVENTORY screen. I've had it freeze in the middle of a mission while I was in a firefight. It got so frustrating I just uninstalled it and I haven't played it in months. UBISOFT will not fix it so now they kick it to STEAM because the game is in a death spiral. Probably won't stop them from charging top dollar for it though. Which is funny because the first time I got it on EPIC was for NOTHING.

I loved the game, it was fun as hell, but it's not worth playing it anymore because UBISOFT doesn't give a damn. I won't buy anymore UBISOFT games. The most stable one I've played, actually 4 of them, were Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands, Assassin's Creed Odyssey (beautiful game) and Origins. Also Black Flag was a stable game, never had any crashes or blue screens, no freezes on those. I still don't to this day. I can't say the same for Valhalla, this game and Valhalla are a crap shoot but this game; Division 2 is a train wreck, Division 1 is incredibly stable by comparison but it's no where near as fun. Division 1 was cool when it came out, I played it for days on end but once you hit end game it got boring and grindy. I tried to play it again a few months ago after I uninstalled Division 2 but I could not get into it. It was like a dumbed down primitive version of Division 2 with less content and older graphics. But it runs good.
