funny fact. changing password did it for me also.
It's easier to log in to my bank than it is to Ubisoft.
I'm going to try a refund, doing a search shows that this issue has been going on for years, so they obviously don't care. You'll be lucky to get the email and it will probably happen again.
Good luck, they refused my refund as I have played over 2 hours. I managed to get back on after hours of messing about but I expect it to happen again
