HDR acting strange
Just to be clear, I got the game on Ubi Connect.
I enabled HDR in the settings when I installed the game, everything looked great. Now a few days later, when I launch the game HDR is making the game very dark, almost no brightness in-game or in the main menu. I know HDR takes some brightness by default, but this is too much. Anyone else having the same problem? Or have any idea what is wrong?

From what I've read, it appears to be an HDR problems with all Ubisoft games, where people even in Assassin Creed are noticing this problem.

For example if you go here: https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/97560/does-ubisoft-plan-to-fix-the-washed-out-hdr-issue/13

You will see that this issue has been reported and still under investigation for almost 2 years now.

It's as if a filter has been applied making the screen dimmed. I used to have this issue before I had it on Steam and was just launching directly from Ubisoft Connect.

Now I don't have the issue in-game but I notice that it's affecting most of my screenshots.

I had turned it off in Settings for my Epic version but apparently installing it through Steam set HDR to Auto which is what made it active again.

I have to check my Settings since it doesn't want to save my changes. When I start up I have to make sure it hasn't reset HDR to Auto. It also likes to reset to Windowed instead of Fullscreen.

I have an Aorus FV43U and HDR looks great. I'm going off memory here but on the initial launch of the game where you adjust the slider so you barely see one logo and the other is clear, there was another slider a bit farther down where you set the max nits your display is capable of. Are you sure that was set correctly? I'd assume there is a way to get back to that setting but I'm not at that pc to look for it.

So what I take from all of your lovely comments, is that HDR is going to be turned off. Damn, that is a shame. Well, thanks for the help guys!

Hey there guys,

Apologies for the delayed response!

How are you getting on?

We've seen other reports noting that disabling / re-enabling HDR (in occasion multiple times) has helped resolve any HDR issues.

Please also try verifying the game's files[ubi.li] if you haven't done so already too.

Hi TheBerry, thanks for the reply.
I have already have tried to disable/enable, verify the gamefiles and also a reinstallation of the game, nothing has helped. So I just ended up turning it off. I tried messing with the HDR sliders, and it only helped a tiny little bit. Also, I tested to see if the HDR-settings for Windows 11 would affect it, but no.
HDR is working, it's just really dark, especially in the menus.
If it's early daytime in-game, it seems like it's late evening by the visuals.
I can live with it, but a little sad I have to disable the feature.

Thanks for the update, sorry to hear it's still not looking great.

Would you be able to please share any screenshots of this so we can note it to the team?

And may we please know your specs (GPU, CPU, RAM, OS, Laptop / Desktop) and if this has always been the case or ever worked properly previously?
