when it happens yout devices start to have interfearance and a rouge agent is near.
look up at house roofs.
they are most of the times sitting at a top of a roof and look down at you.
Hardest thing is finding the hunters. When you are near one your Uİ starts to glitch in a certain circle like area which it usualy 20-30 meter square. And no matter how hard you look for it you cant find anything. And they pop a smoke bomb after a while and dissapear forever.
Sadly this is not the kind of agents I mean (hunters?). I have come across those before, but they always vanish, and I honestly haven't figured out what it is about yet
The ones I mean are the agents (usually 2 of them) where Isac will give you a warning before-hand "Rogue agents detected!".
Usually I stand still for a bit hoping they will come to me, or I will listen for any sound indicators (like you say, gun shots). But mostly when I find them, it is pure luck, and I was kinda hoping there was something more to go by. Right now I am only able to find them about 1 out of 9 times
What I found works most of the time (still not 100%) is to open your map and look for the closest activity or resource node. Usually they are there shooting up the npc faction that is there, or they have replaced the npc faction that should have been there. Gunshots are also a good indication as previously mentioned, but I have much better luck finding them at or near the closest activity.
Maybe its me but when I was still playing this game I did find pulse a complete waist of one of your skill slots. Contrary to TD1 where it actually had a useful function, for extra damage or not getting spotted in the DZ. More likely NPC spawn inside buildings and can't get out.
