Now the guardians that hide in the back while you are getting rushed by immune dudes is pretty annoying but that's the nice thing about the event...you can turn it off if you want.
On more than one occasion I've had Hyena teams spawn in buildings, usually extensive ones, where the guardian stays inside, or goes further inside, while immortal shield carriers camp the door, and the melee ones bum-rush you. Because you can't so much as scratch or distract them, getting to the door alive is borderline impossible, and if you do get close/inside, you can't stop to patch yourself up before you run in on the Guardian, because the two Melee ones are on your butt the whole time, no matter how much you try to distance yourself to use an armor pack, because they'll be on you long before the animation is done.
Still, more often than not, it's manageable. It's just those times where it's just "Well, guess I'll die then" they're kinda irksome XD
So yea the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dev that made this mechanic needs to get kicked to the curb....
Oh and let me add the fact that a guardian can be outside of the killzone/map and still makes enemy's invulnerable, its obvious the idiots at ubi didn't test this out properly.
If you melee a protected one, you temporary remove their invulnerability, and if you have the buff after killing a guardian, you can damage anyone, even when they are protected. As long you kill any enemies while with the buff, you will refresh it. And kiling a guardian, refill your health and armor.
But... When dealing with enemies that can be very dangerous if in melee range, like the Elites (yellow) and does that will send explosives towards you, and the guardian is far way, hidding in some corner, is make the game unnecessary hard.
I think, if the guardian would have a max range, only buff his spawned party, and the mentioned enemies would never be protected, would make it less frustrating.
"Oh, but if you use this specific weapon, and this specific build, etc, you get them, stop crying!" Some might say. Yeah, there always be those that manage to overcome some difficulty, the issue is that people throw away the idea that everyone have their differences, to push the one that everyone should be playing in the same way.
And yeah, you can turn it off, but why? Are you playing this game, cause you want to unlock cool stuff. There is already a lot of repetition, if not participating of events.
That's your own fault for not listening to the sound of the f-cking ticking bomb.
