No
Yes AND you never reach the end I have been playing for 2-3 months and have only 198 shd points to get to 1000 you need like a year of playing every day 10+ hours. For the noobs lying about getting more, the only reason you getting more points is because your already at 1000 and have good gear and stats that the newer people will only get AFTER playing for a year or more. A fun game but unless you want to grind for a year or more to just get to the basic stats. Add on top of that expertise issues. LOL you will have to loot stuff for a day just to get 1 point in expertise to advance , that's right you have to get proficient 10 in EACH individual items ALL the them just to get the privileged of expertise levels. Each level takes tons of components from scraped items that takes at least a day of playing to get. Now add that up to ALL of your items just to get even with players. So basically if you have a year or more to waste of grinding just t get normal stats then go for it. I quit a few days ago, just can not take the grind anymore. You grind and it always seems like your getting NOWHERE. OK rant off , playing Balder s Gate now. Don't get me wrong the game IS fun to play But there is NO feeling of being powerful at all, it all blends into one big grind blur with WAY to many things to grind for.

You said that in 2-3 months you upped only 198 shd-levels. Funny. Math time for preschoolers. If you get 10 shd-levels per day (spending +/- 2 hours per day on this, and this time is more than enough), then you need 100 days for 1000 shd-levels. 2-3 months is +/- 60-90 days, which means in shd-levels it is 600-900. And this is only spending +/- 2 hours per day, but what if there is an opportunity to spend more time? And for all this you do not need top equipment and/or high difficulty of the game, it is enough to have a good build, which in modern The Division 2 is extremely easy to get, and play on the "Challenge" difficulty.
> Conclusion. If in 2-3 months you only gained 198 shd-levels instead of 600-900 ... then you are definitely doing something wrong, or not doing anything. And by doing nothing, you try to deceive other players by saying "how hard it is to play this". Hmm. Yeah, it's funny :hnm_cool:

I have played the game for 660 hours approx. I am on SHD level 950-ish - nearly at 1000 yay! But I am a solo PVE player/ I play alone and mostly just at hard/challenging difficulty, So I dont level up particularly fast except the times I mentioned include one 3x XP event and one 5x XP event. Unfortunately I didnt even understand the Expertise thing when I hit 40 and played for a long time with the same gear until I realised I had to keep shifting gear items to build proficiency. So now I'm at a massive proficiency level of 4! Even so 20% overall extra armor and Weapon dmg is not to be ignored.

Yes its a bit of a grind, but I still enjoy playing. Just recently I started a new character and leveled it to 40 so I could play the game storyline again with a better understanding of the whole picture. And of course my new toon once at 40 shares the SHD level and Proficiency with the other character.

bro. you do not need a year to get level 1k.

I hit level 1k on my HC last season in 1.5 weeks and I work 50-60 hours a week. This game really is not that hard to level up in.

and just to clarify, I specificially started a HC character because seasonal characters got cancelled and my HC was starting from the very start. Getting to only SHD 198 in 3 months is 100% a you problem.

The endgame is supposed to be keeping the districts secured and cleaning out the invasion, but there isn't any weight nor true reinforcement to funneling players to doing this or not doing this.

I used to play this game daily for 2-3+ hours a day and would just clean out districts, clear activities, do daily, weekly projects, DZ projects, respond to back-up requests and the weekly invaded missions.

I do think the devs missed the mark in making the end-game more dynamic than what is it now. Having actual consequences to not securing districts or doing the weekly invasions.

The endgame should've been a true-dynamic fight for control over the city. Kinda like Helldivers, but The Division 2.

I cannot for the life of my figure out how anybody can only get to 198 in 3 months.

Last season I created HC character from scratch and hit 1k SHD in 1.5 weeks. That's with a full time job, not cheesing/exploiting XP. Just playing the game on heroic with 4x directives.

Dude said it would take a year to reach 1k SHD, that is crazy.

The so called end-game in The Division is increasing the numbers. First it's SHD levels, next the expertise system if you're interested in that. It is designed to keep people busy for a long time (not abusing all the glitches) without adding anything new. You'll be doing same stuff (visiting locations) over and over again to gain, (bad) loot, XP, materials, etc. It's a shooter and that's about all there is to it. Shoot few enemies, relocate and shoot some more.

The game is fun for leveling up and completing all (side) missions. Once that is done you're on repeat mode or PvP, which is also the same each time you play. Players often forget the looter/collecting part of this game and expect a lot of in-game mechanics. If so, be prepared for very limited game play options, as is the case with most, if not all shooters. Only the objectives and settings change, for the most part you're only pulling the trigger.

For others, there is no point in arguing about how long it takes. This solely depends on how much you play (every day, or difficulty) and what you do in the game. I never cared about SHD levels and completely ignored expertise. Only went out to shoot some NPC roaming the city. Also didn't care about maximizing items either, used the same sets after reaching level 40 for years. Everyone has their own preferred style of playing a game.
Yall need a year to reach 1000 ? it took me 4 months to reach 5k shd. Spam Farm Countdown for gears, clear all DC control points every day. 1k would be a piece of cake.
