Is there easy way to farm Exotic or target them?

Certain pieces only unlock once you do something in the game. What piece are you looking for? At least that chest piece from the tower.. Unless they changed it I believe you had to do 100 floors.. The exotic loot drop is odd, you will see the same pieces multiple times before you get the one you want. Played on console got the best shotgun in game in an hour, on pc, took 3-4 weeks before I saw it.

Go upstairs in the White House and look at the Projects. One of them is a Weekly Project which rewards an Exotic Cache upon completion. All you need to do is have enough materials to donate.

The new Countdown mode can be farmed on Heroic difficulty for Exotic Caches.

Global Events give Exotic Caches in the shop for stars, and also as a reward for progressing through it.
Countdown gives exotic caches at the vendor for Countdown Currency.
There's a weekly project for giving materials that gives an exotic cache.
A weekly project for completing 30 summit floors for an exotic cache too.

Some only unlock for doing specific stuff, for example the nemesis sniper requires you to collect pieces then get the blueprint.

Like Animal85 said, last manhunt mission which unlocks after completing all the manhunt targets, guarantees an exotic drop, so if you're looking for exotic components, you can farm that.

Thank you. But projects don't show Exotic cache, is this because I skipped main story for DLC? (I already have level 40) also you talk about Seasonal manhunt or DLC one?

It has always been the Weekly SHD Requisition, but I'm viewing it now too and i don't see an Exotic Cache listed as a reward, only 366750 XP.

They're speaking about the Price of Power General Anderson Manhunt since it's a variation on the new Countdown mode. Once you claim the Doctor Home from completion, subsequent runs give an Exotic. The Season only has 2 weeks left so this is a situational opportunity.

Can confirm donation weekly project did give exotic cache but not shown in the reward list. Been doing that one for 3 times now.

I thought they did since I've been doing the Weekly SHD Requisition Project for an Exotic Cache for years but it confused me when I saw it wasn't listed as reward. I haven't farmed Exotic Caches from the Weekly Project in awhile. I have plenty of Exotic Caches right now I still need to open.
