And there's actually another season on the way with content, alto we don't have a release date on it yet
But multiplayer mode can be fun, too, because the game scales up the difficulty with more players. And working with others to achieve objectives can be rewarding, as well as seeing how they are rocking creative builds that you've never thought of using.
I would suggest getting the Warlords of New York Edition as the expansion is needed for max level and endgame aspects.
Just for the "endgame" you might want to try multiplayer, if you are into raids and such. But that is optional.
I have played Division 2 mostly solo since release.
After this season ends, Division 2 already has another full year of content, updates and the developers mentioned they want to keep updates coming beyond this year.
When you get into the game I always recommend new players to play the story from the start and not skip to NYC.
If you skip to NYC you will 100% be left confused and overwhelmed in the endgame.
Season 11 is expected soon. It's already going to be on the Public Test Server. Season 10 still has 2 weeks remaining.
If you're serious about it, you really want to spend a little extra and get at least the Warlords of New York Expansion or else you will be soft-locked and stuck in Washington D.C., unable to travel to New York and experience its campaign and you will not be able to participate in Seasons and other endgame content. That requires Level 40 and without Warlords of New York you cannot progress past Level 30.
if it was comming in 2 weeks, we would already know about it, Late Feb - Mid March, is more likely to be the release window
edit
Side question, does anyone know if rebuying it on steam, risks screwing up the progress on Uplay?, like i start it the first time from steam, and it treats it like a ''new'' account, without my characters
i bought mine today and started it up...and a lvl 20 char when i was plying on the other service thoe epic guys
Did I say Season 11 was coming in 2 weeks? No, I said Season 10 has 2 weeks until it ends. However, they do state that Season 11 is "quickly approaching". It is already live on the Public Test Server:
