How many new players?
I'm tempted to reinstall D2 on my Ubisoft launcher, if there is now a bigger player base, than there has been over the last year or so.

Anyone who has played previously and is now starting fresh on Steam noticed a big difference?

You can go to the front page of Div 2's community page, just by clicking All up above, to see how many people are playing right now on Steam specifically.

The Steam count has been steadily rising every day, it's over 6k now.

i have over 3100hrs of play on Ubisoft version but liked the idea of only using one platform since most of my games are on steam. the steam version simply links directly to ubi launcher so when the game started then all my characters are there with all my gear/stats/accomplishments so if you don't have it installed on ubi connect you don't need to install it at all there and just play it on steam. there is no difference at all in the game between ubi and steam as it is the same game simply linked from steam directly to the ubi launcher.

592 have given it a review so I would imagine more have it. There also seems to be a lot of new players joining GCRock discord all the time so I would imagine there are quite a few new players, I don't have any problems matchmaking.

Oh that's interesting and bit disappointing at the same time.

But I will also keep my eyes on the stats like @FatalX7 mentioned. If it does indeed keep growing then I may just make a brand new character and go through all the content again, with the chance now of finally go through some of the "dungeon"isk content with other players and not solo xD

And maybe the Darkzones may get some more activities.

Most players play alone anyways (Which makes also super fun!)

no there isnt. because they shouldve fixed the crashing before releasing it on steam

The crashing is random from what I've noticed, even prior to it being placed on Steam. I know I had it happening maybe once or twice a day in the past. Then for maybe a week nothing, then the following week it would be crazy amounts, which would make me uninstall the game and come back a month or so later, if there was some "maintenance" to at least resolve it.

But unfortunately from what I heard D2 is in "maintenance mode", which means there is hardly anyone working on the project anymore and the fix for the crash issue has never been investigated or really worked on by anyone.

However, you'd think with the game coming onto Steam, to get more attention, new players, that they would as you mentioned, fix this problem to avoid people experiencing the same frustration that many of us have had for years now.

But I may get it reinstalled later today and jump into the game and make a new character and see how things are.

Maybe finally stop being lazy and make a full pvp build for the Darkzone, so I don't get dropped within a second xD

True a lot of us, even in MMO style games play alone or at least in a discord voice chat, while we solo, until someone asks for help of you want to do a dungeon/raid.

But I think for me, it's the thought of there being a lot others around you, who you can just click the join queue and not be sitting there for over an hour to get a challenging mode completed.

Oh and there is my first crash, after playing for maybe 30 to 45 minutes xD

google division 2 steam charts, and theres your answer. do it for any game for steam.

Yeah I did like 2 days ago and nothing appeared there. But I will revisit it again later.

But so far, going through the game on my main character, popping into the safe houses, there are a lot more people running around, than there used to be and that is 3am in the morning my time!

I'll have another look tomorrow during the day.

SteamDB steamcharts or from the store page/community and you can see the player count on steam. Currently a little over 6k on steam. UBI numbers don't show.

same old same old, in white house all you see is chinese chat

Probably not as many as there would be if the front page wasn't plastered with negative reviews about the crashing.

And they are justified. My game crashes about once every 2 days, so not super frequent, but still pretty annoying. And that's with a 3090

Was dead at the start of the steam launch, now getting more people.
