This game really needs zombies to shine!

I played both Division 1 and Division 2 with my wife and we had a real blast. While I remember D2 having these clunky animations for characters who looked like apes carrying a gun pretty much draining a good chunk of the atmosphere out of the game, the real bummer was the attempt of the devs of making a unique realism-like story revolving around a post-apocalyptic world with a virus infection that didn't turn people into zombies.

While being unique indeed, the game literally screams for it! I mean, you walk down the streets and have shootouts all the way through the game with some kind of high budget raiders (like upgraded versions of raiders/bandit gangs that can be found in the Fallout/Wasteland series). The amazing atmopshere with all these huge destroyed cities, abandoned buildings, streets, and what not. I always expected hoards of zombies slowly surrounding you coming from all the corners, since the game really has everything it needs to make you think this will happen next. But nope. Nada. Not gonna happen.

Now not every game NEEDS zombies. I know, I know. But THIS exact kind of game has one of (if not THE best) base to implement a post-apocalypse based on zombies better than any other game in this genre. The small addition of having to fight zombies would make this tactical looter shooter MMO become a bigger thing than it ever was I am sure. If 2D zombie survival and clunky half-baked minecraft zombie games have huge longterm success just for the fact that they revolve around walking dead being the main enemies, then Division has the potential to blow everything out of the water even without any deep crafting/survival aspects. It makes up for its superior gunplay and RPG progression looter shooter style.

Division 1 and 2 are my favorite games, I'd straight uninstall if zombies were in anyway introduced into the series. There's about 5 other open world zombie games I can think of off of the top of my head that these people can go play.

100% The Division universe should not have zombies anywhere in the game. There's probably over a dozen other zombie games people can go out and buy. No need to ruin The Division with something that's already overdone in games.

Red Dead Redemption had a nice DLC mode with Zombies. I could get behind it for the Division. As JB94 said, the Clancy name means nothing. Might as well go all the way.

This is another Zombie game in development that maybe worth following. More of a hardcore tactical pvp shooter along the lines of Tarkov. Infil and extract with quest and loot, but not only are you looking out for zombies but also other players. The sweet part is that instead of a main menu, there will be settlements/safe zones where you can actually walk around manage your player, team, trade, manage stash etc. There will also be normal arena pvp modes.

I find WAAAAAY more interesting to struggle with people and character to survive in this post apo. fight for ressource and ideology. also gunplay and IA.

I'm so tired of Zombie, it's lazy and uninspired at this point.
even The last of us, or Days gone have zombies but they are focusing on the survivors.

Well that's because despite all the bs, 76 was always a fun game with great housing options, community, and the updates were solid... until they decided they were done with story quests and just kept releasing events and expeditions.

76 isn't the shtshow most of you think it is, and hasn't been for like 4 years now lol. As a youtuber with 10k subs and very mild success the past few years i can tell you that was MILKED like crazy for views and outrage clicks.

The merch being buttcheeks was literally the most controversial issue during that entire time. Yeah it was a dayum buggy mess but it wasn't unplayable... it was every Bethesda game ever, it was blown way out of proportion for the outrage mobs and ad revenue.

The biggest problem 76 has right now is the same problem Division 2 has right now. It's going uber woke and LGBT. When you have "Pride" flags and portrait frames in your store for free you need to get your ish together and fix your dayum bugs, focus on CONTENT, leave the virtue signaling Karl Marx rhetoric at home.

A spin off for zombies would be good but this game has a bit of realism with it's story and atm zombies arent flesh eating creatures in nature also this game is barely held together almost as bad as halo 2 on pc. I don't think they could do that without breaking something in the game even for a limited time event.

The closest they could reasonably get to 'zombies' would be something along the lines of 'Keener had a backup plan that sent super rabies everywhere'. But even that just doesn't really fit the world established in the games.

Well not only that but Rabies once you show symptoms no cure and you have I think up to two weeks before death so high fever etc
