Should I buy?

Hello, I was wondering if I should buy this game while its on spring sale. Looter shooters are pretty fun for me, coming from a Destiny 2 player, and I'd like to have fun with a different game of the same category. However, I've heard some stuff about the game:

• 1.) I hear that crashes are a frequent problem, is there a fix for them yet?
  
• 2.) Would it be better to buy D2 + WNY as I've heard that buying the game itself is more of an introduction.
  
• 3.) Is it well optimized?

I'd say don't buy it. I don't have it on steam, got it on uplay, and crashes are real menace, i dunno how i managed to even get to endgame content and finish dlc but it crashes badly, sometimes once in a day, sometimes several times within an hour, no rule for that, and none of the fixes you can find in the internet helped me, i gave up on it and went back to div 1. Also optimization is meh, and warlords of new york or whatever its called imo is better than base game and opens you to new gear levels (that is if u struggle thru crashes)

Yes ! This game is great.

I, PvE plaver, really like the dynamic open world which is a great improvement compared to Div1. For 20$, this is a must buy.

I wouldn't recommend buying Ultimate as the very few things it adds aren't worth, even at sale price.
Classified assignments, few cosmetics and the season pass (10$) that was valid until March 2020...

1. It crashes but not that much for me and the two friends I've played with.
2. Div2 isn't "complete" and is a dead-end if you don't buy WONY. Real end-game is at level 40 which is reached through DLC.
3. I've capped FPS to 30 as I play more than 10 hours a day ; I've not experienced any problems with I7-9700/RTX 2070 Super

It locks up from time to time; it doesn't really crash. Same result, sure. Often enough you are where you were upon re-boot, but not always. My guess is the lockups occur primarily because of connectivity issues. I'll get no lockups for days, then several in an hour. Go do something else then.

My problem with the game is more basic. It goes nowhere that I can see. It's just Barbie doll dress-up, and all you are doing is getting better dresses to go along with your louder guns, which ultimately is just another form of dress-up. To accomplish this you do the same thing, more or less, over and over and over again.

There is not a single reason to buy this:

Ubisoft treats the fanbase very poorly: Their videos are full of transgender developers, who will tell you about fixing crashes and game stability as a priority.... But the truth is, nothing was done in the last YEARS and since they lost the code last month to update the season, this is a non-functioning piece of software:

Even more crashes than usual and it is impossible to do the season activities due to Server Lags and crashes! (Which is a real shame, i would love to have those cosmetics.)

The gameplay is absolutely nice, but this product is full of Lies made by men with lipstick. They made nearly 800 millions in the last quarter of 2022 and we still crash and code is lost, plus timed Season Events are unplayable due to lag?

I dont dislike the game at all, it is one of my favourites. I also didnt address anything politics related, i just referred to what they said on their last stream while wearing their manchild make-up.

I bought the season, but i cannot progress, because EVERYTHING lags outside of the main map, Summit on top of that is the worst lag in a videogame... ever... in singleplayer. So i cannot complete Chunks League or the Apparel Event.... although i payed for it!

I am talking about the quality and the performance of a game, which should be maintained by the devs instead, because it creates the income. So where does that money go?

please dont bore us with fanboi statements and stick to facts instead! This is unplayable at the moment until they fix the lag, just like it was unplayable a few weeks ago, when they took WEEKS to fix their missing season.

We cannot access the content we payed for. Dunno what you are talking about, we seem to play a different game!

Game is bipolar, one day 0 crashes runs fine the next 10 crashes in 5 minutes with terrible lags totally unplayable.

The gameplay itself is one of the best from my view. But outside of the transgender ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the othe user is talking about. The reality is the game has massive problems. The Devs and the pr team are not really interested in a good product. You can read the history for yourself. Bugs bugs bugs and alot of nothing from the publisher. Most likely others should fix their stuff with workarounds.
I am really disappointed that this game with so much potential is treated like this.
Heartland is dead for me if it ever is published.

Love the game. I have not had as many crashes as most. This leads me to think it has a lot to do with your system and setup. I also can play most of the time lag free. I can not say if its is people abusing the system with bugs or glitches that cause the lag but when its bad it is truly bad. This is not all over however. The main map I do not lag on but some of the ones later on in the game will at times. The game has many glitches that may or may not slow you down but for me I played the whole thing and DLC before having any of the glitches.. but I did crash here and there. I did make the suggested changes and it seems to run pretty stable for me at least. I think its one of my all time favorites just be sure you can be patient with the bugs and I would say buy it you will not regret it.

The game is amazing. Tons of PvE progression, PvP darkzones and modes, activities, missions, and loot. What's not to love.

As others mentioned occasionally you will get a lockup/crash (about once a week for me), but it's been 2 weeks since my last one, go figure. I convinced my brother (who is 52 yrs old) and he loves it even more than me.

I cant speak for everyone but for my self the only time the game ever crashes is when a driver update is needed ... am quite sure that most cases people claim their game crashed is due to this and not wanting to seem dumb don't admit this was the issue.
