The whole Ubisoft could even be dead in a year or two.
Fake news. Not is happen for the division 1 i cannot immage for the 2.
I hope not for chinese developer honestly. Make all games free to play and not care about coop anymore. Over security.
And Tencent is not that scary, they owned 100% of Riot Games (League of Legends), 30% of Larian Studios, 80% of Grinding Gear Games (Path of Exile), 100% of Digital Extremes (Warframe). If the game is good the game is good, as long as they don't dis the great Xi empire Tencent is not going to intervene the studio.
Have to agree, Ubi is killing their own name and brand over DEI and stuff. They don't make games anymore, but propaganda.
What an echo chamber, bro. The cuts and shutdowns are high evidence of loss investment money because it is something that nobody wanted. Ubi had major flops for the past few years and their credibility is shattered.
Their heads are too up in their rumps, bankruptcy and/or hostile takeover is not impossible to happen.
edit. more to this
Shutting down both XDefiant and Heartland, both title have years of development down to the drain. They put so much resources on saleable idea and mess them up with all the funky reason.
They have the worst vision on modern gaming scape this is the fact.
Unfortunately, that is all true...
