The title is solid ATM.
I playng with steam and not have this issue.
the community not
NO they have not been fixed and likely NEVER will...
They say they do but nothing ever changes.
It is 100% random crash. Sometimes will not see any isses for weeks months and them bam crash every day for a week.
People change something and think it has fixed the issue when it has done zero and just comes back.
This is NOT a real big issue as the game puts you straight back into the mission you was on before the crash. and once the game has crashed it doesn't happen again in that play session (Normally).
Note this is NOT just me, but the many people I play and have played with friends and randoms strangers and buddies in Discord. Nothing has changed at all since the game launched.
(Dont be fooled by my low in game hours on Steam on Uplay I have thousands)
I still see many high lvl players live and grinding hard and has been quite an influx of new blood recently (must have been a big sale on)
So yeah of course I recommend it.
Im a newer player - coop? forget it. So far until level 30ish i played everything solo. And im here for coop. The game also doesnt explain u how any of ur gear works. UI has mini bugs (in regards to custom keybindings and what it shows on the screen), basic sidemissions in the game(projects) some of the tasks even after months i dont know how to complete. Finished a project and need to go to project manager? Gl finding and remembering those when u dont play that game every day.
The game has so much ui and info in the inventory and yet now clue what all that bs means, And until one reaches max level and completes the campaign it also doesnt seem to matter - so what u HAVE to do all the time is, what i call, playing the inventory managment simulator (because ofc inventory space is limited, even in the stash!! I dont get it why games do that, LET ME HAVE SPACE FFS- im a fcking horder, and UNTIL I UNDERASTAND WHAT ALL THE TRASH MEANS U THROW AT ME ALL THE FCKING TIME LET ME KEEP IT FFS). The game has all kinds of stuff related to gear but fails horrbily to explain ANY of that. And since it doesnt matter until u reach endgame its all just random numbers that confuse u. The characters/vendors for managment of that gear are all over the place.
Theres also harder activities, i guess weekly and daily stuff - i tried one of that, forgot the name - 0 CHANCE to do that solo, got completely massacred, so i gave up on that activity. The coop concept of the game doesnt work. Not at all.
I guess when u have friends to play this with, this is fine, but alone - forget it, its just a slog, and thats a shame because technical wise the games is REALLY well done. Graphics, sounds ,animations, light, shadows, gunplay, day-night, weather, the environment - Washington, the real star of the game, this is all topnotch. One of the best graphics in a game ive ever seen.
Shame it all goes to waste, because in the end, for solo players that want coop, its just a virtual journey through a post-epidemic Washington. Really well done, but misses substance. At least for me, since the game fails so hard to keep me hooked, because i cant play coop how i expect it to work - making new friends along the way.. on the first look u think thats what the game does - but it completely fails at that.
What also doenst help that imo gameplay is really shallow. The gameplay loop isnt interesting. U shoot bulletspunges from cover, u can go out in the open, but that requires knowledge of gear and a proper build, which u dont have for a looong time. And leaving cover the game can be over really quick, just have to be a bit unlucky. So far most campaign and sidemission i played are 99% very easy, but that theres those 1% encounters that just wipe u out of nowhere. Game balance - ZERO. The balance is the opposite of what it should be.
