so what is proficiency ?

i am getting yellow guns and armours at level 30 and they have a bar which says proficiency but if i have progressed some on proficiency on one weapon but then i level up and if i change the weapon wont i loose the rank i got on that gear??

and i chose crossbow as a specialization in the skill tree there is a desert eagle if i unlock that what level will it be?

take it from me. I'm level 8k. Dont bother with proficiency or expertise. you are too late to the party. Enjoy the game, enjoy the coop while is there and don't worry about those things. They are not achievable for you.

Not achievable how? It's not that hard to level it up. Even more so, you don't even need to do wony for SHD watch any more. And they keep dropping those 3/5x XP events. So you can reach max expertise in no time mainly via material donations from mule characters. The other question ofc is whether it's even worth it.
