ACHIEVEMENTS ADDED?

Have they literally just released achievements for the game? I was playing yesterday and swear there was no achievements, I look now and behold!!

Yes they just went live about 40 minutes ago. Not sure if this is a case where they're added to Steam but the update enabling them isn't actually live yet or what but they're coming at least.

Yeah it's interesting, devs themselves said they won't be adding steam achievements, but finally they've listened.

The Division 2 is still being updated so no, its not. Check the store page you can see the achievements there.

What a surprise, and without any announcement?

Does anyone knows if achievements are different from the Uplay ones? What happens now if someone buys the game also here, can we unlock this achievements apart from the Uplay ones or those who already had the game unlocked a lot of achievements just by login?

It's a bit weird that they added it after so much time, but even more they don't make an announcement explaining how it works.

They announced that they were in their recent update patch

You get them on login, most of them are copy and paste from uplay to Steam, and anything you've done on uplay will carry over to your steam achievements.

Ubisoft didn't want them to, they wanted the achievements to remain uplay exclusive, and they did announce it.

They announced it just now, not when this thread was created nor when i wrote my post.

And thank you for the info about achievements, for a bit i hope it were independent so a reason to buy the game here

I wonder if Steam will recognize everything you've done on an existing character, letting you instantly earn the relevant achievements, or if it's like Fallout 76 where it doesn't even if you have done all teh story content and got a level 200 character, but 0 achievements pop, meaning you need to do everything all over to get the achievements...
EDIT: They get unlocked instantly if you meet the requirements, nice!
