For me, on the single player side of things, I find that the DC map at level 39 and under is more active and fun for the single player experience. Once you get to level 40, then the allies stop auto attacking control points, which for me cuts away the ability to fight with NPC allies, which in turn cuts away a huge part of the fun that I have in this game.
(PVP only in darkzone or others modes)
you can make builds and help others to grind.
There's huge changes coming to the game in about 4 months. Two huge re-works and an expansion releasing. Devs released a statement last week stating they want to extend the game's life up until the release of The Division 3.
The Division 2 has at least another 3 years of support and content coming. Year 6 and 7 content are officially confirmed. Year 8 isn't confirmed, but we will mostly likely see year 8 content.
Since playing the game since release, with the updates coming later this year, this is a perfect time to get into the game.
Aside from that, The Division 2 is just a well crafted and thought out game. Absolutely recommend.
