Report a translation problem
right click Division 2 on the left of your library or click the cog wheel
choose "properties"
on the left of the window that pops up, click the "installed files" option
click to verify integrity of installed files on the right
It will take a few minutes to complete, perhaps more than 10, just let it run
I had a similar issue with Baldur's Gate 3 closing itself last week but the verify fixed it. And the week before I was having trouble with Division, but it just needed to update the ubisoft launcher. It asked me to sign in to an ubisoft account, but i just closed the launcher after the update and started Div 2 again from steam and it worked normally. My friend I was playing with experienced the exact same thing. So if you haven't played in a couple weeks, maybe the launcher needs to update?
I'll update my Division 2 now and see if I have any issues;;; I didn't it have any problems, it ran fine. Try that verify thing I guess, update the ubisoft launcher if you haven't in a while.
I hit Play and the usual splash screen loads then after a bit it goes away and the play button goes green again.
I can launch the game without issue using UPlay directly and also by using the .exe's, both TheDivision2.exe and thedivision2launchersteam.exe. Both of these files were updated in the patch.
Now if I use the steam launch parameters to point directly at either of those .exe's the problem is still there.
Edit: Did the usual verify, reboot, etc.
devs broke it again after every update lmao
It runs by going to the folder where the game is installed and running thedivision2launcher.exe directly.
game works only if i start from uplay
steam game file check dont helps
just checked game fixed itself today it starts from steam
