Is this game kinda dead?

I'm trying to matchmake some conflict matches after seeing YT videos about it being good now. But it just matchmakes forever without finding anyone.

I am now matchmaking for a story quest I'm on, but after 15 minutes I've still not been matchmade with anybody to play the mission with. Is it just popular on console maybe?

Level 40 Heroic is where everyone matchmakes at. If you need or want help below that level call for Backup. I can't help you with the conflict since I don't use it.

Not many people use the matchmaking for story missions, players like to use the Call For Backup feature because of the Shepard rank.

If you're in the base storyline, you're only going to be matchmaking with other people in the level 1-30 bracket and not players in the endgame where the majority of players are.

Game isn't close to dead. Still very active. Once you reach the endgame content you will not have issues getting into a group.

when ever i play it is just to do the sp runs and forget it exist at the end ^_-
have no skill to do anything beyond that and wont try to lol

I just hit lvl 30 and just started hitting up the DZs last week, always come across other players every time. Sparse but there nonetheless...

It's alright I started using the "Request Backup" and it was way more efficient for getting help with PvE content

if you lvl 30 you should run dlc no point go to dz now
max lvl is 40

the game is very active still but sadly the end game is locked behind the finishing the DLC and hitting the new level cap of 40 which in turn unlocks nearly unlimited prestige leveling - im currently around level 580 but i have seen as high as level 7700 XD story and anything below end gameplay is very sparse due to match making only links you with folks on the same world tier of which there is 5 if i remember rightly Story is tier 1 and Heroic is Tier 5. that said all Safehouses are have at set tier so all players can see and interact with each other if they are in the same one but i personally only start and finish a play session in a safe house so they are a mixed bag for finding over players as folks are either dashing out right away or finishing up a session like i do and not actively looking for other players, more so if they are in a clan as clans have their own clan wide shared world tiers as well as a clan room.

Why "sadly"...Nothing wrong with finishing the DLC.
