man there's so much to do in this game after u finish it, when compared to destiny 2 ... i think both got similar end game contents
I got 2.5k hours in and still got grind to be had.
No MMO really has an endgame. You can try different builds or optimise stuff to the nth degree but at some point you are just doing the same thing over and over again. In a lot of games fashion is the utlimate end game with some offering more customisation options than others.
As I understand it Destiny 2 gets around the issue by bringing out regular-ish paid content DLC that also essentially reset your power level, giving you new stuff to explore whilst forcing you to re-grind. At the end of the day it's the same basic stuff, but new enough to keep some people interested for awhile. But you pay for that privilege.
I've played 200 hours of Div 2 on Playstation (through all the world tiers but not much grinding after that) and then switched to PC by jumping straight in to WONY and have done almost another 650 hours. I kinda think I'm done with it too, though I can see there is more to do, the stuff I really like is getting kinda boring and I'm not going to force myself to play DZ or Descent just to tick if off the list when I don't like those game modes at all.
My SHD rank is about 700 and my Expertise level is 12. I usually play on Challenging, mostly solo, with a couple of directives and frankly it's getting too easy, but I really don't like the game much on Heroic or with additional directives added, so there really isn't a sweet spot for me anymore. I can survive on Heroic and I do okay in a team on that level, I just don't find it fun and I don't care about the chance of better rolls on loot when there are easier ways to max out your gear. To really do well on Heroic I'd just have to copy some meta build but nothing is more boring to me in a game than that.
So yeah, there are other games.
actually no , heroic is not a super hard difficulty ..... it just makes u feel the worth of ur build ...u dont need to copy paste any meta build and all , just combine the perfect combination of talents u want to have and ur good to go for heroic , challenging is wayyy too easy for anyone ,
and honestly at the beginning everyone scares to turn up the difficulty up to heroic , even i did too ... but it does not feels that hard when u keep playing at that diff , ur play style might change but u will get used to it ..
also dont think its always just staying in he cover and fight from cover in heroic .. u can push enemies at their spawn and can kill them instantly using -
hunter's fury build with gunner specialisation + memento backpack + banshee pulse
however there r more
there r no META builds in this game .. if u r saying this by seeing some clickbait yt thumbnails then ur wrong ...
every build has its use cases and downsides ..
the build i mentioned above hunters fury is good for solo players but not good for dps.
the best dps build everyone thinks is strikers battlegear , but it takes a lot of time for that build to deal good dmg , which is not good for a game mode where u have a lot of players in the team .. like raids and countdowns , there u cant keep up/build much stacks.. but its good for incursion where there r less players.
now without striker from the choice of dps u r left with many high end brand sets to choose from with different talents and brand set buffs and obviously attributes u have on them ..
so overall its up to u ... u can make ur own cool build by reading all talents and buffs u r getting from the items or else u can see random yt videos to copy their builds .
It's not about it being hard, it's about it being emersion breaking. It's no longer about finesse, tactics and skill. It's about pummelling enemies with clip after clip and/or spamming them with elemental attacks. It's a gameplay style I have no interest in.
I enjoy seeing red, purple, beige and occasionally yellow enemies in the game, and the gameplay options that presents. When everything is just a sea of beige bullet sponges, I'm bored. It no longer feels like post-apocalyptic America, it just starts to feel like a very mediocre fantasy game.
Gotham Knights had the exact same problem. The endgame was no longer about being a super hero with a bunch of cool abilities, and just became how much and how long you could spam into increasingly tedious and tanky enemies.
Boring.
But 850 hours for a game is pretty good.
wht build u run in open world ??
and have u ever tried hunters fury build / hotshot build ??
for me it takes less than a mag of smg (50bullets) to kill a yellow target .. and it should also be for u if u use correct builds ...
with hotshot build + chainkiller u can literally 1 tap anything in the map ( except the chungas , 2 tap for them )
with trash builds u will end up having a pea shooter experience , where u see u r hitting everything for soo long , mags after mags but things r not dying
1 piece? i got 3 or 4 piece perfect for the build not only one and can change loot during the playng. Dark zone not is dead also.
can u explain wht u mean by 1 piece ? in countdown u have the freedom of choosing any target loot u want , u can literally get any
weapon + exotic weapons (not raid exotics and crafting only exotics )
complete gear sets
complete brand sets
all gear mods ..
and builds r not just for pvp ...its for pve + pvp botth ..
different builds for different play styles and activities
how far have u played the game ? have u completed the NY campaign and got the watch ?
DZ is tied to ur current game character power lvl .. if u havent completed the NY dlc then ur DZ will be tied to world tier 5 players only , which is dead imo as no one is at that stage of the game ...
DZ is full of players both in div 2 and 1
based on ur posts i think u play mostly solo this game and got bored , which is quite natural for anyone ... u need to hop into any discord community server of this game and join them in different activities and learn wht to do to get better in this game ..
right now as im writing this txt more than 20,000 of players r playing in our community servers and r looking for grp to do legendary missions and other activities
Different strokes of course, but this game simply isn't my cup-of-tea.
