Skill drone mods

I can't install mods into my drone. I am Technician level 48. Is there are restriction on what skills can be modded with based on specialization?

İnventory --> select drone --> press F --> if you own drone mods, you can equip them now.

There are few mods locked behind active spec., but you should see special icon on those.

When I select to mod the drone it has mods available but the mod slots show empty. When I click on a mod to add it the equip button is greyed out. Just found out that this is only on the battery slot.

You most likely don't have any mods for the drone that GO IN the battery slot.
There are only two mods that go in drone battery slot, those being "Deflect Duration" and "Duration".
If you have neither of those, then you can't install a mod in that slot.
