I always chose the latter since when I leveled so did my drone and shield. My gear could be upgraded when I found something better.
The gun i chose for this type build is a shotgun for up close and personal and either an AR or sub-machine gun for a ranged shot behind the shield.
This is mainly a yellow build because it upgrades both your shield and drone.
Use that time to get to know different weapons, swap them out, get comfortable with them (or not) and then use the one you feel like is the best choice for you and your playstyle.
Personally, i got comfortable with an assault rifle or SMG and the crusader ballistic shield.
But again, try everything out and use what you feel comfortable with. And if you change your mind, just swap things around.
Me neither. Every time I hit an enemy in the head with a rifle I think 'If that was a Marksman Rifle he'd be dead'.
And a bullet hose for close encounters as a backup.
When you finally start doing high end stuff you might find it much better in some instances to use rifles due to the lower ammo waste....especially like in the Descent missions where you have to use your ammo wisely as there are no ammo boxes and you have to succeed in each room first before you can move onward and at some point will get a supply station where you have to buy more ammo.
Same here. I found this a good combo. I could launch them both, piss of the mobs, and then let the skills kill them off lol
Well now i just finished the main campaign and starting on the Black Tusk stuff i have reasonable weapons for my level and enjoy a bit more running about and getting in the mobs faces lol.
I suppose some of the skill that seemed less relevant in the beginning will now become more useful for healing and detecting mobs etc?
If you dont like a gun, remember it and switch. if you need longer range, use rifles/marksman, cqb? shotty/smg. whatever you like bro.
also, pay attention to the fire mode icon, 2 bullets is semi, 3 bullets is auto, so if you like full autos, and find a new gun, you can avoid finding out the hard way its not spammable.
