New to The Division 2
I have just started playing The Division 2. So far, having fun with the game. However, I've noticed that weapon drops are comparatively lesser than The Division 1. What are the best weapons for a lvl. 5 div agent? Also, which skills are ideal for rushing in this game, since AI enemies takes a long time to get out of cover (I was previously using multi-seeker mine and flame turret combo in Div 1).

Sounds to me that a striker drone that annoys pulling the ai out of cover and distracting him is one skill you should try. Now that your close what do you do? He starts attacking you. You have three options hide behind cover, do enough dps so that the ai flinches or deploy a shield to finish the bad guy off up close.

I always chose the latter since when I leveled so did my drone and shield. My gear could be upgraded when I found something better.
The gun i chose for this type build is a shotgun for up close and personal and either an AR or sub-machine gun for a ranged shot behind the shield.

This is mainly a yellow build because it upgrades both your shield and drone.

in my opinion Turet & Drone and dont mind the weapons at this level, cause you will change them a lot of times till the endgame

Going to be blunt, experience is the best teacher. Learn through trial and error and learn for yourself.

Yeah, thanks y'all. I figured out turret and drones are pretty handy at beginner level but repair drone and crusader shield are the real GOAT. But I don't see the point in using a rifle, over LMG/SMG/AR

yes, there are not much good rifles..."Bakers Dozen" is allways a good deceison and on skill build "The Wave", but dont know if they drop under lvl40

There is no "best weapon", imho, especially not in the leveling phase.
Use that time to get to know different weapons, swap them out, get comfortable with them (or not) and then use the one you feel like is the best choice for you and your playstyle.

Personally, i got comfortable with an assault rifle or SMG and the crusader ballistic shield.
But again, try everything out and use what you feel comfortable with. And if you change your mind, just swap things around.

Me neither. Every time I hit an enemy in the head with a rifle I think 'If that was a Marksman Rifle he'd be dead'.

And a bullet hose for close encounters as a backup.

When you finally start doing high end stuff you might find it much better in some instances to use rifles due to the lower ammo waste....especially like in the Descent missions where you have to use your ammo wisely as there are no ammo boxes and you have to succeed in each room first before you can move onward and at some point will get a supply station where you have to buy more ammo.

Yes, exactly! I was using a rifle as an alternative to AR and a scopeless sniper as shotgun (since an actual shotgun wasn't available to purchase at that time) while playing Descent.

Go DPS to speed run through the game, and skill builds are boss as well. When you hit level 40 you can increase the difficulty of the game and WILL get better loot.

Same here. I found this a good combo. I could launch them both, piss of the mobs, and then let the skills kill them off lol:steamhappy:

It's a shame that on higher difficulties with directives, with enemies with special ammo, most of the attack skills become just unplayable garbage. And the remaining minimal part performs much worse than builds with the main weapon (rifles etc).

Well now i just finished the main campaign and starting on the Black Tusk stuff i have reasonable weapons for my level and enjoy a bit more running about and getting in the mobs faces lol.

I suppose some of the skill that seemed less relevant in the beginning will now become more useful for healing and detecting mobs etc?

THIS
If you dont like a gun, remember it and switch. if you need longer range, use rifles/marksman, cqb? shotty/smg. whatever you like bro.
also, pay attention to the fire mode icon, 2 bullets is semi, 3 bullets is auto, so if you like full autos, and find a new gun, you can avoid finding out the hard way its not spammable.
