Low fps on decent pc
I randomly get massive lag spikes/fps drops
any ideas on what it could be. I dont think its the gpu or cpu as they are better than my last pc when the game first came out and i had no problems then

to give you tips without having any knowledge of your pc specs and your graphic settings ingame is kinda difficult

Make sure that HDR is turned off, that was giving me massive problems before I turned it off.
Not sure if that will make things better for you, but it sure did help in my case.

Dropping your specs would help, But general things like making sure your connection is good, if not use ethernet. Setting the game and ubisoft as priority and set as admin has helped before.

GPU 4090
CPU i9-13980hx
64Gb ram
2k monitor
on an nvme

so should run perfectly but does not

its either your processor or gpu causing you problems. I've heard of 4090s having issues and the processor looks fairly new so it probably hasnt been optimized by intel yet.

Mines 4 years old and im running on ultra so idk, but im also running amd which this game is optimized for so.

It can be tempting to crank the graphics settings to max when you have a beast PC but the visual improvement is rarely worth the hit to performance. Maybe try backing down any graphics settings if you have them maxed?

Its fine on every other game just div has problems for some reason. I will lower graphics and see if it changes anything

I have the same problem, sometimes FPS drops from 110 to 40 for a short time, I tried changing dx12 to dx 11, changing the resolution, nothing helps, as I understand it is an intel problem, I play with a friend, he has AMD and there are no problems

usually an intel cpu with an H in the name indicates a laptop cpu, Could be some issue with that. Could also be the game is for whatever reason trying to use the intel built-in graphics instead of the 4090. If you are doing video out to a monitor from your laptop, that could also be causing some stutter and graphical latency (or even be what is causing the game to use the wrong gpu if that is what is going on). It's also entirely possible that it's network issues causing the problem, not the direct hardware. Also a possibility is the NVME drive overheating and causing sudden dips in performance as it alters it's speed to deal with heat. Division 2 is basically ALL streaming assets, after all. Actually, to be fair, according to your claimed cpu, you are on a laptop, literally ANY part could be overheating and causing framerate problems. Laptops are not exactly known for good thermal management, even aside the fact that laptop spec parts are typically noticeably less capable than their desktop bretheren.

At this point, without more info, there is really not a lot people can do to give suggestions for what to try, outside of what I did, which was run down a list of likely culprits based on your specs.

Try turning off the reduce input delay setting, the sutters were fixed for me after that

Yeah, 3080 ti & 14700k here and just get random drops from capped 100fps to 35fps for 20 seconds for no reason.
