Anyway, it appears that Ubisoft has deleted Division 2, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and some other games from my account. So that's interesting.
I still have Division 1...
Edit: Nevermind. I somehow have two accounts and I have no idea why.
Is of course not a Steam problem or Ubi whatever,
Who thinks he must have several accounts should also remember all and on which his games are activated.
By the way, you also need a UBI account on Steam on which the game must also be activated in general, you also have only one UBI account.
posted from another comment:
Open the old ubisoft account with launcher, go to settings, scroll down, there is an unlink button. Then close ubisoft, start the game from steam and after you login to the new ubisoft account it should ask to link the accounts.
Thanks.
It turned out I had two spare agent slots, so that should work out okay. It also turned out that, for some reason, the DLC is extremely cheap on Ubisoft (5 Euro), and I'm pretty sure it didn't show until I'd started the game. Not sure what was going on there, but it looks like I'll be staying on Ubi for now.
OTOH, I played for more than 4 hours without crashes. After I bought the DLC, it took around ten minutes before the game crashed, so I hope that isn't a sign of how it'll be in the future...
And yes, many Steam players often do not remember their accounts and complain to Steam that they have deleted their games.
I have my very old Steam account here and also my UBI account which is also from the Disk time.
And you do not get a key from Steam I have the Steam version and have never received a key from Steam that there was once when you bought Steam Disk versions.
If you have the base game on Steam and the DLC on Ubisofts platform, this works because I actively do this.
You can't buy DLC for a game you don't own so you can't do this vice versa.
This isn't what the thread is about anyway: OP you can create a new character and experience the game as it was. Just don't skip to New York because that will put you at the start of the DLC at level 30.
It's nice to be playing it again. Very fond of the drone and turret (since I play solo) and I'm impressed by how much work they put into the map and everything.
