Which is better Division 1 or 2?
Thinking about getting this game but to the vets which one you find better and why?

2 for sure, if you ask which game is better in stability?
I would say 1

For me 1 is a special one and like it a bit more than 2
The second one is also good talk about base game no DLC but if you want to go back to NY you should get the DLC to as it will expand your replay ability

2. But as everyone says, 1 has a really nice & interesting map/setting,
It's more unique. But in 2, less bullet sponge, weapons swap faster,
cover & movement feel better, the gunplay feels nicer.

Overall just better gameplay. 2 is also optimized well..
BUT unstable af & yet to patch it. My recommendations would be to disable UPlay overlay,
that seemed to work for me, but ik that doesn't work for many others.

Well, if you ask that on this page, you'll obvisously have biaised answers. Personnally, I loved the first game and I didn't like the second game very much.

I loved the map and the atmosphere of the first one (New York covered in snow) and I also loved the pve, the pvp, the loot system, the survival mode and many other things.
Fighting the entire game lobby as rogue agent with your teammates was a special feeling that I never had in any other game. The division 1 was and always will be one of my favorite coop/pvp game.
The second game is just "meh" imo. The map is nice but the gameplay is boring and repetitive and the loot system is tedious. It's just not a fun game to me.

The only reason I stopped playing the division 1 is because I absolutely destroyed everything the game has to offer in PVE content and that there is not enough player in the dark zone anymore to enjoy the PVP aspect of the game.

1 is dead sadly and graphics are pretty dated.

2 is the better game by all accounts. 1 is more stable. Both are worth playing, but 1 is dead and feels as dated as it is. 2 will crash every 10 minutes, or not at all.

I think the setting of 1 is nicer, the world is more fitting

2 is more difficult than 1, so it makes sense to play 2 first and play 1 only after you learn the basics in 2. That's what I did and I love them both.

I really liked survival in 1, is 2 planning on putting out more DLC with that mode in it?

Played The Division about 1.5 years ago. Didn't play it on release like I did with The Division 2. They are both excellent games and each have their place in the given timeline of the story.

The Division to me feels more of a prologue to The Division 2. Which isn't a bad thing, but once you play through the main story in the first game, there's not much left to do at all. If you have the chance still play the first game, but The Division 2 has for more replay ability and is still getting content for the next 2 years.

Again, both are great games. The Division 2 now being 5 years old still looks and players better than most games out even newer releases.
