"Just get a good team" bruh you clearly havent played a lot of public matches if you think those are common. Ive found like 1-2 people total in the playerbase that dont Leeroy Jenkins everything.
"Be part of a positive experience" Nice.
It 100% needs to be retuned.
The hardest rooms are trivial compared to the nemesis, if you cant see this then I honestly dont know how you even managed to figure out how to type anything in the comments.
The bigger problem is how boring it is. Resembles Summit with a more futuristic vibe & more walking.
Lol I try but they dont listen or sometimes cant even speak the same language. I have patience I just dont see the point in doing the same thing 8 billion times then going "next time will be different" maybe you should see what the definition of insanity is.
1. Don't rush, average clear for me was around an hour to an hour and a half, solo.
2. Pick skills that wont screw you over while fighting the nemesis. My go to skills are sticky bomb, holo, revive hive, riot foam/fire starter chem launcher, in that order. Once you start building absurd amounts of gun damage, skills kind of become moot and I will typically drop sticky for revive or holo depending on which I don't have. Holo is an absolute beast when it comes to distracting enemies allowing you to reposition, stop rushers, or pick off enemies that are a larger threat (RPGs and snipers).
3. Guns. Picking guns is important for the first 5 or so loops. I find LMGs and Rifles tend to do better earlier than ARs and SMGs (with some exceptions i.e. FAMAS and MP7). Shotguns are asking to suicide unless you build properly around them. Handguns can mostly be skipped. Eventually you will get to a point where any gun will be good. Most my nemesis kills have been with either a AR or Rifle.
4. Stat increases. I usually start with some armor 1 to 2 points so I can survive making a mistake, getting rushed, or getting hit by an RPG in a bad room. After the first loop or two depending on my skills and weapons I will start alternating damage and armor so I can continue to increase both DPS and survivability. I have tried skill builds in group play but when it came to fighting the nemesis, the amount of skill damage they can put out is bonkers when combined with certain skills.
5. Room selection. This is probably where the room difficulty names tend to throw people off I believe. You have 4 choices; easy, medium, hard, and sometimes boss. Hard and boss will give you 2-3% nemesis heat, medium is 3-4%, and easy is 6%. What this means is if you go easy you will have less talents, fewer gun, and skill choices thus making the fight harder but the run will be quicker. I find a good mix of medium and hard a good middle ground allowing one to build a nice library of talents and gun/skill choices. After you kill the nemesis and wish to continue the leaderboard climb, room selection doesn't really matter too much besides avoiding the more perilous rooms with poor cover choices. Do note that you can get rogue agents after you kill the nemesis and they will absolutely jack your world up.
6. Exotic talents. Bullet Hell(Incessant Chatter can be used in place but you will still have to reload every once in a while) and Plague of the Outcasts are probably the biggest, baddest exotic talents you can get. Never having to reload and getting a bit of free damage is huge. Following those two, Breathe Free is good for initial burst damage and you can build stacks while in cover if you shimmy back and forth. Doctor Home/Bloodsucker for survivability if you still need it. Adaptive Instincts can be good as well but not nearly as powerful as the others.
