Descent Mode broken?
Anyone else having issues with this mode with overpowered enemies?

Like I understand that suppose to be the challenge but being stuck with a primary and pistol with mediocre damage makes no sense.

Player vs Enemy. Player does damaged as low as pea shooter while enemies hit as hard as legendary mode AI.

I get it, it is do-able but again makes no sense while enemies have drones, flame thrower and rocket launcher it really makes it unbalanced.

Does anything even drop here thats worth it? One exotic from weekly is not worth the time spent in here. because I can just do 30 floors of the summit on normal in less than 1hr for the weekly exotic or complete 30 challenges for another exotic not to mention multiple exotic drops from summit crates.

The time spent in Descent literally has no actual benefit to the player. You can spend 30mins doing Loop 1, 2 if your lucky.

Anyone know if there are any benefit in doing descent? because I rather spend my time on content that is actually rewarding.

They should have given us building raids with objectives. This dreamer stuff is for the birds. All those empty buildings spread across the map could have been partially filled.

For solo play, it Just takes a little trial and error and patience. After a bit of practice it shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes for each loop.

Some easy ways to make a solo run successful (as in beating the nemesis):

If the beginning weapon/skill selection is not good, exit the descent and start over.

Hit easy rooms as often as possible to reach the nemesis fight quicker.

Pick a skill that's good for ambushing spawn doors (try to get reviver hive for your other skill). Easy and medium difficulty rooms only have 2 spawn doors during the early Loops so pick one to ambush and quickly reduce the enemy count.

If the exotic talent at the end of Loop 1 is not great (like Bullet Hell or Plague of the Outcasts -- you should have a >50% chance of having one of those as an option) then consider starting a new run. Also try to pick up the Trauma talent along the way for a nice boost in the nemesis fight.

The more I've played Descent, the more I think it is an excellent training experience for players. It forces people to examine maps tactically and operate independently in a team.

People who play like cowards or lemmings will just get whittled down, swarmed, and wiped.

I feel like this is the kind of experience Summit was meant to be.

That said, the RNG can certainly screw you over. If the game wasn't so full of anti-social introverts that refused to communicate with each other, you could certainly ask to restart a run if you've gotten no good weapon, talent, or skill rolls.

How difficult it is to get a good group for a proper run is not really the fault of the game mode. That's more on the state of the game and its population.

Solo kinda all the time it feels normal to me but nemesis is the hard part i cant pass ....
The issue might be you try to rush and not think about it ....

It's super easy, whatever guns you prefer and for tech anything the rogue/s cant take over and use against you ( i like pulse and traps )
stack up these talents
Offensive talents- unhinged, allegro and critical
Defensive talents- preservation
Utility talents- braced, destructive and 1x trauma
Arena stats- take skill tiers (unhinged gives you all the dps you need and preservation fills your armor)
Exotic talents- in order i like
1. plague of the outcast
2. incessant chatter ( do not use with bullet hell)
3. agonizing bite
4. doctor home
5. bullet hell ( do not use with incessent chatter or utillity talents like extra and lucky shot)
the rest of the exotics are junk imo
