Question about progression
I finished the main game on the first difficulty and then got sent to World Tier 1 (I guess). I have to unlock everything again, but is it worth it? Or should I just go to Warlords of New York DLC?

Considering the weapon quality limit will change from the world-tier ratings (1-500) to level 40 once you've completed the DLC, probably not worth going through all the world-tier progression stuff, unless you really want to. If you've got a character boost, the WoNY DLC will let you start it, and auto-complete the world tiers. Then you can then level from 30 to 40, which will outclass the world-tier progressed weapons anyway.

I did this myself to skip progressing world-tiers after completing the story. All your weapons and items I believe are maintained, I just lost some of the money I'd saved up to that point and was given a set amount by boost I think, though you'll quickly make that back and then some.

You'll need to complete the DLC before being able to return to the DC main map, but the story isn't too long. Unless you want to use the boost on a new char and go through the world-tier progression on your main for the hell of it, aye probs not worth pushing through that grind and focus on getting to the level 40 tier weapons faster. Further to that, you'll unlock the BattlePass progression and SHD levels once you hit level 40 if you're wanting any of the seasonal stuff it offers. Hope that helps!

There is nothing to finish. What is it you think you finished. ?
There is endgame in this game but no finish.

Either you stay as lvl 30 in D.C. or you move on to new york and continue there to lvl 40.
After that then endgame starts.
