nonstop crashing

keeps crashing after a few min of playing and even on startup 1 time and the game even made my PC freeze aswell JUST GREAT UBI nice new updates.....

I was able to play for 25 hours with no issue except only a single crash. Since it was with my mates I was able to come back and rejoin the mission and get all the rewards.

And now the crashing gets worse, first it was around the 20 minute mark and I was in the middle of a mission. I just got into a big arena and an instant crash.
Okay... how about I turn the graphics down? Surely that would work.

I restart the game and try to play three more times, each crash coming sooner than the last. Just now I started a mission and within as soon as I entered a small room, instant crash. I was prolly only playing for like 5 minutes before it happened.

i dont know if this will help at all, but the only times i crashed were when i played on epic settings with dx12, maybe try lowering settings or switching to dx11 and see if that helps?

settings dont even matter and DX12 never even worked so couldnt even be bothered trying and my PC can EASY handle game on max settings just not after the update anymore

if the game will even load, at 2000% longer load time than before the patch, it crashes within minutes. did EA make this patch?

constant crashing on startup has been an issue since two years or so? Its Ubisoft, they are ♥♥♥♥ and it will never get fixed.

After update the crash is more consistently. But i see the logo start slow down. Maybe is messed up something with new update.

Disable DX12, disable Steam/Uplay overlay, if you're using a controller/Tobii; update/verify USB drivers, update/verify graphics drivers, migrate game to SSD if possible, clear Steam/Uplay memory caches, restart PC after you experience a crash.

With one exception: You blown out your fans lately?

Just saying every thing you've described so far suggests an overheating issue, and since I am playing this game from Linux and using the ProtonDB by Steam and not in Windows, and, not crashing.... You might want to make sure your fans are clear.

It's a suggestion, if you know it's all working fine then it might be a component going bad; or you been hacked; numerous possibilities. But I can say from how I am running the game in emulation it isn't the game and I am on a challenged machine: AMD 8120, AMD RX 580 8 Gig VRam, 24 Gig of actual RAM and my mother board is still in PCI-E 2.0

Good luck man I hope you get it fixed whatever is the cause.

Runs fine on my 10 year old pc from linux too roflmao

Black screen lasts for at least 30 seconds to maybe 1 minute, so it seems many need to be more patient. Good luck if you really like the game, otherwise I am sorry you're having issues and hope you can get them fixed, even if it merely is you need to blow out the dust. Yeah it's important to do that (Even some laptops need to be blown out with air by a professional tech).

Brand new computer.. best internet I could buy and crashing much more lately.. never had this problem before so I think its whatever update they did or patch bc it most certainly aint dirty fans or low performing pcs -- maybe its their server? Love the game but I crashed 3 times in 30 min play last night..
