Incredibly LONG Launch Time

From the time I click play on Steam, to the time I can select a character, it took a little under 3 minutes. That is the longest launch time of any game I have. I've timed it a few times now, consistently between 2:45-3:00 minutes.

Annoying how you are forced to sit through splash screens and seizure warnings and then it begins the process of trying to connect to servers. A little multi-tasking there would be nice.

Load time and internet speed aren't the same thing.

the initial loading time is kinda long but after the character choice pretty fast for me.
but it changed with the recent update. it was much much faster before. very annoying.

The game is competing with GTA Online, for those that have any experience with it. I have seen my PC run idle at 2% during startup which indicates to me it is waiting on server response. No problems anymore, uninstalled and now running games that do work properly.

Same here, takes 20 minutes to launch
tried ssd, same, tried everything

Just replying to your complaint about having to wait for 3 minutes. If not, then why create a topic on these boards about it. UB is going downhill fast and this is the result of it. You can expect a lot more issues in the future. Great game at launch, but not anymore, far from it.

This is my groups new game and all 4 of us are experiencing the same. Load times in game are fine, but the initial launch takes incredibly long. Has anyone found a work-around?
