Why is the game currently so unstable?
I know about the crashing, I was getting the frozen screen thing where it took like a minute or two before deciding it had crashed. Disabling the overlay in the ubisoft connect app stopped that from happening.

I've been running Countdowns to farm for gear/materials. 1/10 of them work fine. The rest have random issues:
- Everyone getting a loading screen and then teleporting to a random spot on the map after, map timer keeps going as normal and same for objectives, the server decides to teleport everyone to a random spot.
- People disconnecting randomly.
- Large chunks of people disconnecting randomly, like 4 at a time.
- Crashing to desktop randomly and instantly, usually but not always, when completing a Countdown, with an "Oops" message and option to send crash logs (I do).
- Leaving a Countdown once completed and getting a glitching out loading screen stuck on 100% with overlapping sounds for half a minute before loading again.

It's actually gotten worse over the last 3 days, much more frequent. It's nearly to a point where it's unplayable as you get booted/crashed/disconnected/stuck every Countdown.

I've experienced these problems in countdown and it can indeed be extremely frustrating, but I've not been impacted as much as you have.

Hopefully things will turn around and you'll be able to farm countdown without these problems.

Well it's gotten worse. Playing with my friend today, my last four Countdowns I didn't get to complete. The three before those my friend had three in a row he couldn't finish. Lag, DCs, various crashes, etc. One before those and yesterday also have still progressively gotten worse.

I don't have any internet issues, all hard wired, FTTP to the wall 2m from my PC. Ran continuous pings to a few web addresses and local, no packet loss or anything. I sit on around 20ms in the Washington map, but it goes over 100ms in countdown, though that shouldn't cause the lag I've gotten or the DCs. It seems very much server based.

At least you can log in to the game. Some of my friends can't even get the game to start. I have had 3 forced logouts over the last two hours. What a way to ruin the weekend.

Since it's getting worse for you, and there have been no changes to the client, the issue has to be your PC. If it were the client, it would be steadily failing until a patch were released, not increasingly failing.

Good luck.

I bought the game cheap on epic, and I bought the most of the DLC's like a few weeks after it came out, I played until about level 17 and I just got tired of the crashing and the mouse issues so I gave up on it, that was on my Intel 5960x rig with a 5700xt.

Im on a AMD 5900x and a 3080ti, and just started to play this game again.....Thinking things have gotten better, boy was I wrong....

First problem immediately after starting a new character, I could not get my mouse to move smoothly at all, it would jitter and stutter, liek I couldn't aim, Turning on mouse smoothing sorta fixed it, but then you get the floating feeling, But my controller was smooth as butter. I decided I wasn't going to play the game if I can't use my mouse, I hooked up another mouse, my old Death adder without the crappy razor software, Same issue, Later I found out if I turn polling rates down to 250hz its smooth, works great but I can't stand the feel of it...

500hz polling the problem didn't fully go away, but was smoother, just don't look at the White House.... My mouse in question is the Corsair M65 Pro Wireless, thats the only why I can play the game with this mouse... I did find maxing out the games mouse sens, and lowing my DPI to 400 I can keep a 1000hz polling and its smooth, but the sens is a little too high still.

DX12, crashes my video drivers, no idea why, I tried downclocking the card, it dosn't matter, it just crashes the video drivers no matter what, it does take some time before that happens but it will happen, DX11, its much more stable, not as smooth of gameplay, it will also randomly crash but at a much longer period so thats why I have to use. Mouse issues is still there, even with a locked FPS.

This game is a mess!!!!

what causes the crash is the EAC.
when you start the game, go to task manager and shutdown the EasyAntiCheat.exe process.
no more issues :)

The trashcan devs are too incompetent and lazy to fix it. They released the same broken game on steam which should never have been allowed in it's current state.

Unless you want to use matchmaking, right? Matchmaking should not work if EAC is not running to verify that you are not using third party software. If shutting down EAC through the task manager still allows you to do matchmaking-gated content then the software is even in a worse state.

i've never tried MM in Div2, but some people claim it works when the EAC is shutdown

I dont want to beleive that... although given the situation we are in I indeed do beleive that can happen. If what you say is true then it would be factually impossible to argue that the problem is in the players' hardware.

But anyway is still too odd for it to be true... like... Why would them require us to have EAC running when it is not needed at all to play the game.

If you dont mind next time you are playing the game, and if you remember this post, try to record a video of sorts showing how you disable EAC and go to MM content? Just for the science.

I also had regular crashes until i lowered my graphic settings to low and i did a reset for the manhunt and no crashes anymore for a week now.

i have no disk space to make any game records, but now i remember, i made some coop mission and i had EAC disabled, so, i assume this is MM and it worked with no issues.

The key here should be being able to understand if coop-matchmaking is the same match-making as the DZ or the Countdown... but I dont see how would they be different to each other. This game is a true mystery in the software history XD

EDIT: I was thinking maybe the game is built to consider the party leader as a host when playing coop but that would still be nonsensical since the game requires you to be connected to their servers. Odd at the very least.

Last fall they did an update that was supposed to be a fix for some. Well for some reason I noticed recently my GeForce Experience is now telling me my computer can’t handle the game anymore and wants me to play on low settings.😳 Up to last fall I had the occasional crash, after that update it can get nasty for me. I did manage to finish the last season though with lots of crashes.
I don’t have these kind of crashes with any of my other Tom Clancy games. I’ve lowered my settings and going to see if that keeps workings. Makes me weep though that my graphics don’t look so good anymore. Hopefully it gets me through the next season when it drops.
