Hopefully things will turn around and you'll be able to farm countdown without these problems.
I don't have any internet issues, all hard wired, FTTP to the wall 2m from my PC. Ran continuous pings to a few web addresses and local, no packet loss or anything. I sit on around 20ms in the Washington map, but it goes over 100ms in countdown, though that shouldn't cause the lag I've gotten or the DCs. It seems very much server based.
Since it's getting worse for you, and there have been no changes to the client, the issue has to be your PC. If it were the client, it would be steadily failing until a patch were released, not increasingly failing.
Good luck.
Im on a AMD 5900x and a 3080ti, and just started to play this game again.....Thinking things have gotten better, boy was I wrong....
First problem immediately after starting a new character, I could not get my mouse to move smoothly at all, it would jitter and stutter, liek I couldn't aim, Turning on mouse smoothing sorta fixed it, but then you get the floating feeling, But my controller was smooth as butter. I decided I wasn't going to play the game if I can't use my mouse, I hooked up another mouse, my old Death adder without the crappy razor software, Same issue, Later I found out if I turn polling rates down to 250hz its smooth, works great but I can't stand the feel of it...
500hz polling the problem didn't fully go away, but was smoother, just don't look at the White House.... My mouse in question is the Corsair M65 Pro Wireless, thats the only why I can play the game with this mouse... I did find maxing out the games mouse sens, and lowing my DPI to 400 I can keep a 1000hz polling and its smooth, but the sens is a little too high still.
DX12, crashes my video drivers, no idea why, I tried downclocking the card, it dosn't matter, it just crashes the video drivers no matter what, it does take some time before that happens but it will happen, DX11, its much more stable, not as smooth of gameplay, it will also randomly crash but at a much longer period so thats why I have to use. Mouse issues is still there, even with a locked FPS.
This game is a mess!!!!
when you start the game, go to task manager and shutdown the EasyAntiCheat.exe process.
no more issues :)
Unless you want to use matchmaking, right? Matchmaking should not work if EAC is not running to verify that you are not using third party software. If shutting down EAC through the task manager still allows you to do matchmaking-gated content then the software is even in a worse state.
I dont want to beleive that... although given the situation we are in I indeed do beleive that can happen. If what you say is true then it would be factually impossible to argue that the problem is in the players' hardware.
But anyway is still too odd for it to be true... like... Why would them require us to have EAC running when it is not needed at all to play the game.
If you dont mind next time you are playing the game, and if you remember this post, try to record a video of sorts showing how you disable EAC and go to MM content? Just for the science.
I also had regular crashes until i lowered my graphic settings to low and i did a reset for the manhunt and no crashes anymore for a week now.
i have no disk space to make any game records, but now i remember, i made some coop mission and i had EAC disabled, so, i assume this is MM and it worked with no issues.
The key here should be being able to understand if coop-matchmaking is the same match-making as the DZ or the Countdown... but I dont see how would they be different to each other. This game is a true mystery in the software history XD
EDIT: I was thinking maybe the game is built to consider the party leader as a host when playing coop but that would still be nonsensical since the game requires you to be connected to their servers. Odd at the very least.
I don’t have these kind of crashes with any of my other Tom Clancy games. I’ve lowered my settings and going to see if that keeps workings. Makes me weep though that my graphics don’t look so good anymore. Hopefully it gets me through the next season when it drops.
