Game always starts in windowed mode

Every time I start the game for some reason it starts in windowed mode even though every time I change it back to fullscreen. Why is it doing that?

At some point it seems the game developed selfawareness and does not really care about your preferences at all.

On a serious note: it seems to be a long-time bug that might, or might not, be related to your custom preferences saved in the shadder-cache folder in TD2 directory. All this kind of graphical issues appear to be related to that.

Game is fun, but that ain't free - Windowed and Windowed fullscreen is Massive's way of permanently 'fixing' some other jank. I set mine to Windowed Fullscreen, it's been that way for a week.

yes mine also starts in window just hit each time ALT and Enter and you in full mode

Yeah its a bug but windowed itself prevents crashes somewhat.
