The DLC is 100% worth it.

It continues the story and add a tremendous amount of replay ability.

If you do buy, I would strongly recommend you finish up the bast story before going into NYC.

this is basically this game what was intended. still not worth it tho to buy it from steam, because ubistore always sale this game including dlc regularly each month and only cost around 4-5$.

Considering I paid $60 for the base game and $40 for the DLC,

$9 for the DLC or $18 for the NYC edition with the base game and DLC is a steal. Literal hundreds of hours of content.

Only really if you plan on putting a lot of time into this game. The main game already has enough content that most would be done before even considering starting the DLC

It is required anyway if you want to play the endgame so...

I keep seeing suggestions to finish the campaign before NY. Does that mean if u don't there's no way to go back to DC? If so, kinda crap that almost immediately the campaign suggests getting on that chopper.

nope when you start dlc you must finish dlc misions then you unlock shd clock and all seasonal stuf and manhunts then can go were you want

I am so confused about this. I stopped playing a while back, 2 years or whatever and never bought the expansion. I can't remember if I quit before or after it dropped, regardless...

Where do you see your actual "level"? I have been doing Countdowns, and watched a few videos on how gear and whatnot works, so I've even been using the targeted gear and working on my build... but I don't have the expansion, so am I only level 30? I can't see a number anywhere in-game and now I am super confused lol.

I've been holding my own in these countdowns etc so IDK. Nobody has been complaining about me in groups either...

When you complete the NYC DLC, there is a mechanic that is introduced in correlation with the story that allows player leveling past level 40 (new base level cap after buying DLC). There's no cap to high players can level. For example, I am SHD level 4,300, but have encountered players as high as 16k. There are other mechanics that are introduced with the leveling that I don't want to spoil.

Overall, if you're planning to put in time into the game, you are far better off buying the DLC. Again adds literal hundreds of hours of playtime for only a few extra bucks.

Yea, see I am totally lost. I never bought the DLC. I have definitely been doing Challenging Coutndowns.

Is there any indication anywhere in-game where you can see your level? For the life of me I can't find it.

I think I will pull the trigger. I have been playing the past couple days after not playing for a few years and have been having fun. I am just confused by what I can and can't currently do based on my level. Or what level I actually am ATM.

You should be able to see your character level in the UI. I dont remember exactly where since it has been months since the last time I played but I am pretty sure that in the top right corner you can see your char level in the main menu (character selection screen). Also in some tabs of your inventory. Not totally sure about this one.

EDIT: Is it possible that you got it in some kind of suscription or whatever? Maybe perhaps Ubi decided to gift the DLC and you were one of the fortunates? A priori you should not be able to run high-end content when you are level 30... but this game is special. That I can guarantee you XD
