Anyone tried this on deck?

I don't have one so I wasn't able to test the game on it at all.

I know Steam and Valve can provide dev kits, I will try to request one but I can't promise anything.

I'm sorry for that.

It does launch and is executable. Upon starting it in its default launch settings it is really laggy and does not work. Clearly the game has no support or any real optimization at this point in time. I don't think the developer had the Steam Deck using community in mind for this upon launch. It is most likely a later project for patchwork on the game.

There is no steam deck controls or support either. You will need to use a custom template in the Steam Deck or a controller to a dock station.

Upon playing I was able to get it to all work at an optimal level at this setting with little to no problems:

Resolution: 720p
Resolution Scaling: 100%
Anti Aliasing: Ultra
Shadows: Low
Framerate: 60 or 144FPS
Vsync: On

The game hates high shadows on steam deck, and any resolution or above 720p makes it unplayable. This game is heavily recommended to play with a controller. I could not navigate the main menu or the game itself on Steam Deck controls. But was able to with the touchscreen. But I switched to a controller to really navigate the game.

Now I only gotten into the first areas I still have had frame drops and lag moments here and there but nothing serious. So in total conclusion - It is playable if you manually set the settings at certain perimeters. But make no mistake this game needs serious Steam Deck Support, it does not have any.

On PC works fine 👍

Have you tried it yourself?
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I tried it on my Steam Deck, I wouldn't recommend it. You're forced to select "low" in the shadow settings and the game doesn't look good that way. Unfortunately the fps drops from around 60 to 15 when go to medium shadows.
I think I'll return the game cause I don't have any PC to play it on but my Steam Deck.
Are you planning on support for the Steam Deck? I really wanna play it :)

Was not in the latest patchwork.
Yeah, unfortunately. Still waiting for it!
+1 Support for Steam Deck. I'm playing on our living room PC with Batocera Linux on it, runs great on this machine, but my wife and kids prefer the Steam Deck. A graphics preset specifically for the Steam Deck would be nice and sufficient (= without degrading the visuals for the PC version).

I'm a Steamdeck user myself it's just more convenient and comfortable away from the PC
