Audio Issues

the narrator keeps skipping over to the next line mid-sentance and im not sure how to fix this, ive tried re-installing the game, validating my cache, even messing with graphical settings and still no solution.
also ive posted this in the "common issues" thread but no response

I'm having the same problem. The audio keeps skiping or nothing at all. I've tried multiable audio inputs and playing with the settings. Nothing is working. I thought it was the game messing with me at first, but now the game is useless to me.

I am having this issue as well, both in the full game and the demo. I did not have this problem previously. This issue seems to have popped up since the latest pathes were released.

no i go at a regular speed, and the audio skipping happens even on the intro cutscene

I have the same issue. The narrator does not finish his sentences before he starts the next one . It seems to clip off the last few seconds. Its very frustrating as there seems to be no online help.

well it just sortve fixed itself for me so im still not sure what the problem is

What CPU does everyone have? I'm thinking it might be a concurrency problem but idk

I had this in Portal 2 when my Steam language settings didn't correspond with the in-game language (I *think*). Maybe a Source-engine thing?

I've got an Intel Q6600 with 8Gb RAM, a GTX580, and oooodles of hard drive space.

Well, I've had Steam as English since I got it, and I didn't change the language in TSP, it's in English as well. Still skipping like crazy.

It's probibly because your video settings are too high, its lagging the whole game, and making your audio wonky, fixed it for me
