Is the esc. pod ending actually a bug?

Spoilers ahead!

I've read discussions here about whether the escape pod ending is bugged or not. There is no sound at all at the end, errors in the console while loading text of the narrator that doesn't exist, and the screen going not completly black at the end.
So I wondered... is the escape pod ending actually meant to be accesible? Could it just be an unfinished ending? Or is this just the way it's supposed to be. What do you think?

There is a loading screen after you go past your office to the dark room to get to the escape pod stairs. In other threads someone mentioned, when another map loads after backing out of the bosses office the narrator magically come back.

I once broke the game in the moniter room,pushed a button then dashed through one of the gates and I was stuck there with no narration or a way out

I felt like the Escape Pod ending should have been completely silent as it was, but instead of the game just ending, the pod goes up and Stanley reaches the outside.

That would have been a more... emotional ending.

And I know DURR HURR RAPHAEL, EMOTIONS, LOL ECKS DEE, but it's true that it would have been a great ending that lets stanley escape it all without the Narrator's guidance.
