Someone is following stanley

Has anyone else had the narrator randomly say out of nowhere

"Someone is following stanley, if he just turns around, he will eventually catch them."

That line alone made me instantly pause the game, save, and exit. I don't cope well AT ALL with scary games, and now I'm scared to continue the game.

Please tell me it's just a joke?

had this and then later in the halls I could see someone that looks like stanley walking along the basement hallway through the windows.

I did the game is so quiet sometimes it felt like a horror game...

This is NOT a joke. I have seen the follower infront of my door, closing the door and running, looking at me though windows, and hiding under desks... Allthough i have only seen if after i heard that message... but it is still creepy though

Don't be scared.
There are no jumpscares in the game, but there is a tiny chance that an NPC will be following you on the other side of windows and doors, you need to be quick to catch him. I am not trying to scare you, I am speaking the truth.

There is also a chance that the npc can stand behind you after he says this message: "Someone is following Stanley, he was sure of it. If he looked at his shoulder, he'll surely catch them. It's just a matter of time."
